Define problems, I though it meant things not working correctly.

In-fact exactly a year to be exact, which is why it was released today

Although I'll be thinking of you when I get home, boot up the game and start playing the 5 new chapters that you'll never get in much higher graphics resolutions and detail on my HD 2900 XTX

I might get it soon..

GameStop messed up my order and send me the regular edition of CoD4, so I have $10 credit and free overnight shipping, which makes PC games pretty cheap.. You can add me on Live, I'll message you if/when I get it and we can do some co-op My GT is Box of Sunshine

The only thing that irritates me is I'll have to make a second Live account for Windows.

I've still not got around to that yet either, because right now my Xbox Live account is still on our internal server at work for testing. Each time I move it the gamerscore resets.

Probably going to drop the account, then create one for work; another for xbox home and the last for windows home.

Actually loading times are extremely small, almost unnoticeable.
Althought the starting load time is about a minute, but after that it generates the actual textures while the level begins.

So you get about 5-10seconds when everything looks really low textures, but then suddenly bam the entire world looks awesome.

If you want to see how quickly and well it'll run, I'd recommend the Unreal Tournament 3 demo (which btw is only a 550MB download which is for about 6 levels, lots of vehicles, 10 or so weapons... for a demo it's huge) as it uses pretty much the same engine.

If you have a DirectX 10 graphics card and Vista, the game will look amazing and run blazingly quick!!

No you don't, you just sign in with the same login you use on Xbox Live.

Yeah, and risk loosing my GamerScore.
This happens when you switch them between 360 consoles as well.
For some reason Microsoft's Live dept seem to believe that you'll only be using one platform not both.

Quote: "what are the system requirements?"

from the back of the box:

OS: Windows Vista/XP
Processor: Intel 2.4GHz+ / AMD 2.0GHz+ (MultiCore Supported)
Memory: 1GB
Hard Disk Space: 12GB
Graphics: Shader 3.0 DirectX 9 Card with 128MB
Network: Broadband Connection (Xbox Live Gold Account for Online Play)

I'd recommend to get a stable 60fps something like a Radeon X1600 Pro, the same goes for DirectX10 try to use a Radeon HD 2600 rather than the budget versions.

I mean they'll run at a reasonable speed (except on-boards which often duck below 15fps) of around 25-30fps but seriously mid-range is best.

The weird thing is that I have a fairly decent PC with an 8800 GTS 320 mbs 2 gigs of ram, and the game lags sometimes, I know it's not the PC cause every other game works fine on this PC

Should handle it perfectly fine at 1280x720 with all settings on High.

Probably due to the setup of your system, I have one here (well actually it's at work atm) that is just basically the most powerful collection of hardware I could get my hands on. It suffers from seriously horrible lagging issues in all games that require streaming data.

Half-Life 2 is the worst, where it'll run at a nice 200fps+ then when going into a new area of enemies; it will pause for a second or so with huge amounts of Hard Disk reading. Then continue.
Happens in Gears of War but not as much.

It is an extremely horrible issue that plagues Vista mostly due to it's indexing system, which is wonderful if you happen to want to find something quickly however you want to play games and the pagefile kicks in when it shouldn't.

Right now I have my pagefile on most of my systems set-up so it reads from a specially partitioned hard drive mount that has all forms of indexing, recycling, temporary, readyboost, caching, etc.. all firmly turned off.

Something you can do to subside this issue in the short term though, is once you launch the game open the task manager; switch the application to have high-priority (this will mean it's needs will come above everything else) and then check virtualization.

Once this is done it runs in effectively exclusive mode. You can also enhance this by setting up a configuration file that disables themes and running it in full-screen mode.

Virtualization really does the most enhancement for reducing lag though, as it makes sure it only runs using physical memory and the higher priority status than everything else makes sure those resources are available exclusively. Background applicatins suffer but honestly while I'm playing on Games for Windows Live games, I still use my messenger account - so people can talk to me using that everything else imo is pointless being active in the background.

It's not like transferring an account, you're just logging in somewhere else. I've transferred my XBL account between 3 360's so far and signed into Games for Windows Life many times without any problems.
