Thanks

Nice looking model, reminds me of battlefield vietnam.

You'll need to UV map this unless you just want the same base texture applied to the entire model.

Export the model as .x and then use the FPSC entity maker which can be downloaded from here:

http://files2.thegamecreators.com/fpscreator/fpsc_entity_maker.zip

The download contains video tutorials which tell you exactly where to place the files so I won't repeat all of that here. Just make sure you have the model in .x format and a .tga or .dds texture ready to go when you use the entity maker.

There is a directx exporter plugin available for Milkshape 'DirectX 8.1 Exporter by John Thompson' from the following link:

I love that game man

It's a couple of years old now but for me it's still one of the best multiplayer games around. Easily my favourite of the BF series.

I just got Call of Duty 4 yesterday on 360 and going to test that out online later but BF vietnam is still the benchmark for me.

@Rudeboy

I'm sure Milkshape has a standard .x (directx) exporter option. Just goto file then save and look down the list. If you cant find one then install the plugin I gave you a link for and export it with that.

If you get really stuck then just save and upload the model in native Milkshape format and I'm sure someone will make it FPSC ready for you. You still need a texture though.

At the moment I'm trying to UV map it the way it is in the screeny but it's hard. I don't know why they made it flat texturing for the whole 3D model. I was wondering if there was a tutorial. Can anyone help me out here?

What I mean is can you individually texture the different segments from the milkshape 3D file?

RudeBoy, I'd appreciate if you would post a screenshot of the model in FPSC. Although Seth was nice enough to post a screenshot of the model itself, you need to have one in-game.

Thanks.

You don't have to have a fully-textured model to put into FPSC; just load it into the FPSC editor as-is and take a screenshot...that's all that is required.

Your boat has a leak! where the pointy bit at the front meets the main bit!

the boats used in vietnam were a bit longer than that, and the turret was at the front:
