I've been trying to do this all day so it's not like I didn't even try.

Anyway, I was wondering how I could make it so there are hands when I have no weapons out. I tried getting a screenshot of waht I wanted it to look like, but whenever I try making Model Pack 9 or 10's zombie hands with the glove hands, the textures never show up.
Well that's not the problem. So maybe making it on the hud but only while No weapon is out. I really need this because I want the picking up stuff action seem a bit more realistic.

Um... I'm not sure what you're asking here... If you want to equip the character with fists from the start, just place the Player Start marker, right click it, and change starting weapon to "unarmed 1" (Assuming you have Model Pack 9 or 10) If it's a texture problem, you might have to change texture qualities or the light mapping. If you want to change the hand texture, replace Hand_D.jpg with the desire texture, which you should then rename as "Hand_D.jpg"

I think it is possible. Because you can. Make a melee weapon as it.(e.g. Fists) and try to script that if the weapon is taken off then it shows. I'll ask Storm he is quite good at scripting.

I basically me that I want the 0 key to turn to the fist weapon, even when you're picking up stuff.

Well, I just thought of an idea, maybe I could try scripting so that when you switch weapons with the # keys that #0's key is replaced with #1's weapon, which I would have the fist be the starting weapon. It's just a wild guess but it might work.

Yeah, but you can scroll on your mouse to change it.

Well when you pick up something I'm pretty sure it uses the action that is default 0 key. Also the scroll thing only works for your current weapons and not the pick up "weapon." Only problem is your first weapon might not work and be replaced by no weapon but it's worth a try.

Of course it's possible - it's just another type of weapon.

I have modeled some melee weapons - a hammer, a sword, an axe, etc. and I may include these "hands" as well if I release the weapons as a model pack.

Your right, when you scroll it doesn't scroll to the no weapon slot. It may work with a script.

It's not possible sorry. There is no 0 button weapon, it just equips no weapon.

Well, if this changes anything I don't need it to be a weapon, just something that displays hands on the hud, but only when theres no weapons out. Hope this could change the results.

If you put like hudimage blah blah blah for when you have no weapon out and hudreset for when you switch to a weapon, it would be that simple. I hope, I'll try it.

Edit: Little problem, I can't find an image to put on the hud for the the hands.

sps999: I don't think that is possible either as when you have a weapon out the hands will overlap the weapon.
