Is it possable to transfer a game to an Xbox 360 compattable format?
Example: if i were to use DBP to make a game and present it to Microsoft, would it be possable to transfer it to a Xbox 360 format?

Why isn't it possible to put a DBpro game on an XBox? (I don't have one, so i've never tried) If you wrote a pure DBPro game, technically all you would need is DirectX9.0 (Which is what the XBox uses), so why isn't it possible?

Why would they? It would be pointless to attempt it when we know it's not possible.

If you REALLY want to make an XBox 360 game, use XNA. Though DarkBASIC Pro is much easier to use and you'll accomplish more in a shorter time period.

Ok, I stated that wrong - TorqueX is a game engine for XNA.

I meant that it contained a bunch C#/XNA classes. I guess "made" isn't the right word because it also contains programs that aren't written in XNA.

correct me if i am wrong, but doesn't xbox 360 have the same capabilities (probably with mod-chips or something)

or something like a pc emulator can be made for the 360 that can help run DB stuff.

certainly would be cool

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them

Though it would be cool, and XBox hardware is very simular to PC, the XBox would have to be running windows as it's native language. XNA is indeed your best bet to do something like this. The only other option would be to replace the ROM chip and operating system contained on the XBox hard drive to windows, basically making it a windows PC. The actual controllers are really cleverly desquized USB ports. I know on an older XBox I once installed linux just for the hell of it and it worked. However, even if you could get an xbox to run Windows, it would not be very practical just to do it to get a windows based game to work, thats what PC's are for. Google XNA and you'll come accross a free download of it which IS compatible with both PC and XBox platforms.

I think most of you have overlooked something, I'm not saying it could be done, but could some one not just rite a plugin for dbp which would make it compattable, theres a plugin for the xbox360 controllers, it don't work on the latest version of dbp but it worked on the 6.0 version
