Have any of you heard of BlackSite: Area 51 coming out onto the XBox 360, PS3, and PC. It's freaking awesome. I've been begging for a good T rated FPS on the the 360, or any system. Check out this website.

And did you even check the game out. Go to the sites, see the screens and vids and everything. Cause you can't rip on it if you haven't even looked. And there is such a thing as awesome T games you know.

I have checked out CoD4, it does look frickin' sweet. But as I said before, me and M games don't hang.

Huh? When did I rip down BlackSite? All I did was recommend CoD4. And I never said that T games were bad either. You're putting words into my mouth. All I asked was if it had to be T, and if not, then check out CoD4. And what's wrong with M games? Especially one like CoD4, which isn't a "bad" M game, just has some blood, obviously war violence, and some language. Yes, I looked at the site, it looks pretty good, but I'm not much of a sci-fi shooter.

I don't play M because it's against my religion and morals, I'm Mormon. I'm not a super-religous guy, but I have standards.

That's why I said I've been waiting and begging for a good T FPS, they're aren't many out there. Pretty much just the first three CoD's and a few others.

I apoligize to anyone I have offended or annoyed.

i looked at the screenshots and all, and i must say that this game doesnt look all that exciting

But what can i say without trying it out eh? maybe i'll look at the box inside a game store sometime later (i cant afford it though)

@Lucifer- Did you look at any of the vids. Go to gamespot for those, the official site only has the trailer.
Besides, when Area 51 came out on the XBox a few years ago. I heard of people calling it the next halo, and critics went nuts over it.
Ah, well, that one was M, this one is T. But still, if you do some more digging and look at some more stuff, I'm sure you'll come to like it.

But I guess screenies and vids aren't exactly the actual game is it.
I guess we'll all have to find out for sure how good it is.

Until I saw this site I thought Blacksite was gonna be a sequel to Black - which was pretty much the shortest uberintense rollercoaster-ride I've ever been in as far as FPS'es go.

Looks like a linear one heck of a ride to me. Sparked my interest.

@tha_rami: Yeah, I rented Black, it wasn't very good. It was what, six hours of gameplay at the most. But a sequel is being made of Black for some odd reason.

Black was awesome. I love how overpowered all the weapons were and most scenery objects were destroyable. It was very fun. However I only got to play it once as me and my cousin rented it one evening and I had to leave the next day.

Black was good while it lasted. Not replayable at all (no good reason to do so) - and 4-6 hours is really too short. Like said, an uberintense rollercoasterride. Just a shame that it was over before you got the urge to go drink something.

Black made me drink because a.) I absolutely sucked at it b.) When you die you are brought back to the beginning of the entire mission, and c.) You couldn't skip the cutscenes.

I mean honestly, for CRYING OUT LOUD. How, in this day of age, can a game get away with unskippable cut scenes? That should be illegal.

EDIT:

Oops, on topic. I played the demo for BlackSite and found it fun, but not fun enough to buy. There are too many triple A titles coming out in November to warrant a purchase of an Atari game. COD 4, Mass Effect, and Super Mario Galaxy for starters.

just kidding. But are you serious? Black delivered some of the most intense fireplay for a long time..true not a game I'd play 10,0000 times over but I'd play it over a few..it was intense and insane and I loved the 'real' feel it had to it. Made actually have to play the game which rocked.

I really liked Black, some really nice visuals, but it got repetitive pretty quickly.

I just got CoD4 last night and it's damn cool - engrossing single player campaign and multiplayer is great too. I wouldn't say the visuals are quite as good as I expected somehow, but it's certainly full of nice touches.

I tried a demo of Area51 and didn't think too much of it, I might look at it again when it's available cheaply pre-owned, spending too much on 360 shooters these days as it is.

I agree, this sometimes happens with opening splash screens for games. I've noticed that lower-grade companies often disallow you from skipping them and when the game crashes quite often, watching them can be a chore(take BF2 for example).

No matter what you guys say, I think this game is gonna be great.

even if the gameplay sucked I would still love it because I loved the first Area 51, and the Area 51 arcade machine, and alot of other alien type things.

lol my game glitched out three fourths through the game, I was stuck in a wall when I came back from save. So I never beat it because I didn't feel the need to play it over again, and yes that is what taught me to make multiple saves.
