I have a pack of 25 dual layer dvd's, but hardly any of the burners I've used can burn my data to them. I need a burner that has an option for 2.4 speed, otherwise I can't backup my data :\

I did have one a while ago, a few formats back, but I can't remember what it was called, but it was free.

So does anyone know of FREE software for burning, which has an option for 2.4X?

For backing up stuff I recommend an external hard drive.

Dink, I would, but I don't have the money for one right now and I wanted to backup my data tonight and start a format.

For some reason, my DVD RW won't burn any thing onto my 2.4x disk's. But I'm sure I managed to burn stuff onto them a while back.

I took some of my brothers DVD's, that I didn't know he had till just before. So now I have my work backed up.

You could try CDBurnerXP

You should be able to burn at a slower speed, like 1 or 2x. It'll be pretty slow though

I have CDBurnerXP a go, but no result, I got the same burn error message, which basically tells me the DVD RW can't write to the disk. I found out my brother had some DVDs, so I used them instead, I also used my 4GB memory stick.

But I'm sure I had a piece of software that let me burn data to my 2.4 disk's, I just can't remember the name or where I got it from.
