Geek Culture / Diablo 2 was good, but it seems FSS left the whole debugging department at blizzard

Ok so i've been playing hellgate london for a while with my friends now and I wish to warn anybody who is planning on buying it to save their money! This game is a PLAGUE on a hard drive. It crashes, you always have to re-zone about fifteen times for you whole party to be visible, and the servers seem to be down once DAILY! It feels worse than a beta version of wow! and the best part about it is, i complained about this and their response to it was to ban me from their forum! real professional eh? i just wanted some answers as to why it is when i hover over a "unqiue" item the game crashes...

I have not read what you posted, but the ban from the forum couldn't have something to do with how you presented the problem, could it?

well luckily i have a copy of it.

"Dear FSS

I enjoyed D2... ALOT... When I saw Hellgate London it looked like another game I was going to enjoy... ALOT... The problem is now I feel like I wasted my money! I cant even play a single game without it crashing! when im in a party we have to zone up to twenty times just to make sure we can see our entire party. As many people have said before the "we made D2 therefor our newest game rocks" mentality isn't helping this game whatsoever. I can say for sure I will not be paying for a subscription to it unless I see some durastic changes, for example, getting it away from a beta build of your game! Please address the excessive crashes and errors that everyone in this game is facing so that it may reach its full potential."

Update

They unbanned me from the forum after i sent an email, and they replied with an apology saying "sorry, some of our mods get a little emotional and dont think clearly and drop the ban hammer without provocation. We are sorry that you are experiencing so many technical issues and we will be looking into them soon!"

They deleted the post thought because people started flaming the mods after the mod posted "banned" below me! hahah

I agree hellgate does have alot of bugs, but I wouldnt tell anyone not to buy it...since personally im really enjoying it. I would say to wait until december to buy it as i hope by then most bugs have been fixed and a big chuck of subscriber content is coming out.

I've not played the multi-player bit yet so I can't comment on that, but I've had no problems at all with single-player except that sometimes some of the ravagers would disappear while attacking, and reappear a short while later - even that went away after the last update.

It's a great game, and I'm finding that I'm spending far too much time playing it.

Personally, I think the level design is terrible. That random system they used just doesn't do it for me. Oh, and personally, I found several unforgivable bugs in a game that has been released already.

Well, some mods are just stupid, hehe. :p
Haven't played this game, and probably never will, though.

Quite a few games these days are released before they are fully tested which is a shame but after a few months the companies have fixed major bugs....Never Winter Nights 2 was HORRIBLE when I first installed it but the fixes they made really worked wonders and it is one of my favs at the moment.

Prince of Darkness, it might be that it's dark because you've been in an isolated cave, but in other cases:

Just friggin' Google it
