Hi, figured I'd give it a try

I bought this phone a few months ago. Convinietly, it didn't come with the cable and software I need to transfer photos from the phone to my PC. I happen to have that cable now but not the software. I tried downloading various driver software online and installing it, but the phone still does not show on My Computer, even though the drivers are "installed" and I get a "this device is working properly" message.

thanks

Does your phone have a storage card in it? If it does, just get the mini-SD card reader. Otherwise I don't think you can straight up transfer images off the phone. At least I never found how to. I always have to copy them to the memory card, pull it out (a pain cause it's under the leather case and in the battery compartment) and plug it in as a memory card.

I have a V3M so I dunno if it's exactly the same or not.

yeah, it's a lot easier to figure out if you own the phone and have done it before. it does not have a storage card.

it's a popular phone so i figured i'd give it a shot and ask.

I used to have a Motorola L6, very similar to the Razr, and the data cable didn't work for file transfers. It worked only as a modem. Absolutely useless. But that said, so was the rest of the phone.

Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

Even though I have the software for my Ericsson, I use this software instead - It's got a 30 day trial period so try it out.
