My dad tought me the basics of basic

Game Programing

Don't know yet

I probably will

I am trying to teach my 11 year old brother dark basic but all he wants to do is play video games all day. Am I wasting my time?

Haha, no. I can't think of a single family member who knows anything about computers, other than what I've told them.

yes
What did you want to do as a programmer?
Automation, robotics
Did you succeed?
Somewhat, not to the degree I had envisioned when I was younger. I've done the automation most of my career, but I haven't really had the opportunity yet to explore cool robotics.

I used to, not as much nowadays.

Games.

Not yet.

My dad is a programmer, but I taught myself to program by copying and pasting from examples. The book was too boring.

Did you want to program when you grew up?
No, and I still don't... This is a hobby for me, I want to be a comic artist.

What did you want to do as a programmer?
Make games I could call artworks.

Did you succeed?
I'm almost there with Dream, and my next project should improve upon the concept.

Yup, small liberal arts one. I'm an art major, and after seeing my games and art, I've left many wondering why I didn't go or even apply to an art or tech college. That and why I decided to move halfway across the country when I'm from mass.
