Hi everyone. I have a problem with my computer. It wont let me access things like my screen settings or the control panel. Everytime I try it gives me a message-box saying "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer", and I dont know how to fix it.

If this helps, my Norton AntiVirus ran out, and may have set these restrictions.

I think he means Windows, have you tried booting into Safe Mode and logged in as admin to make your user permissions are correct?

Norton doesn't usually set restrictions like that. I'd try logging in as Admin to check. ^^

Seems I have winter.exe virus, which sets fake restrictions, lol.

lol. Right after Norton went out. I'd pick up a AVG copy and kill it.
