i need html code for a login system (username password)

this will be used on my freewebs site i dont know if that changes anything

i would be very greatful if some one could help me out
i did try gogle but they didnt work on my site maby you know why this is

You can't do that in HTML. You should switch to another language as for example, PHP.

As has been said, you'll need to use a server-side scripting language to make this work properly. PHP is my first recommendation, and you may as well learn MySQL while you're at it. If you're the least bit serious about building a real website, you may as well have a database to store your info in, and it really does make it a LOT easier to register users, etc.

I'd suggest going through a quick HTML tutorial, then move on to PHP and MySQL.

I second what hyrichter said, although it is possible using HTML and Javascript to access the database; it's very far from what you'd call "Secure"

php, jsp, asp, etc.. are better routes to go

If you download a free copy of Visual Studio then you can design your website and code it in one application. At the same time, you can write games using the free Dark GDK

well, freewebs is crap. U can make a login system with html, but i forgot how. I think it involved sub-sites....
