Dark GDK / Hello World Picture?

Hiya all,
I am new to GDK and I am impress with GDK. I wish the document would improve abit like putting example code as that would be 10 / 10 but so far..I have to say 9 / 10.

I trying to get hello world picture on the screen and can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and what is the correct code to make it work.

load it as bitmap 0

Why don't you try it the way the tutorial shows you as an animated sprite? Or you could just use dbPasteImage

Only bitmap 0 is ever displayed. The other bitmaps are used as working areas. You can either load the image to bitmap 0 as suggested by RPDan, or you can use the dbCopyBitmap to copy the image to bitmap 0.
