@EG: I'm guessing you're still a kid from your post, and getting supported by your family. It's a whole different world when you have to pay for everything yourself.

I just figured since I've been developing an app on the side for several months now and suddenly find myself no longer employed as an AV Producer, for a while, I'm gonna call myself a programmer...

Thanks to corporate america, I got severance so I wont be standing in any unemployment lines for a while...

I'd call it "unemployed".

Demons Breath- Tell me about it, however I've found that through having to take my care of my own affairs, I've learned a fair bit about money. I can pay all my bills every month on the dot and still have a large sum and evergrowing accout/fallback money. Though to achieve this I work my ass off .

Bah, I have the same problem, I can't claim unemployment benefit coz i have too many assets, if only I'd wasted all my cash on cars, women and booze -.-

I'm like millions of others in the UK I'm part of the great hidden unemployed because of the way we are made to dissapear off goverment figures.

Maybe I'm self employed professional web developer because Google pay me $100 a year in ad revenue? I have to file inland revenue forms every year which sux anyways

It's a real hassel to get car insurance if you do not fit into a work catagory
