Ok. I have a laptop with a Nvidia Geforce 8600m GT with 256 MB graphics card. But, on the laptop it says it can have up to 1024 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT TurboCache. Another forum member told me that I can change the RAM to through the BIOS. So I went there and I saw the video ram as 256mb but when I used the arrow keys to scroll down, it just jumped to the stuff underneath so I couldn't change it there.

So, could someone please tell me how I can use this Turbocache because it's obvious I can have up to 1024 Megabytes (as it says). Thank you. I'm new to all this graphics card stuff.

It's probably likely it's already setup and using your ram as "turbocache".

Check how much ram your computer is registering. You can see it if you right click on my computer and click properties. If you know how much ram your laptop has (for example 2gb) and how much it's reporting, (say 1.5gb), you can assume 512mb of your ram is being used for your video card.

you probably don't want 1 gig of ram for your graphics card...that seems like overkill

You can always get an ATI card with 1GB of ram.
Anyway, if your using your laptop's RAM it could slow it down. Trust me, I have an ATI with "shared memory tech" It has 128 of it's own and 128 of my PC's RAM.
I need to get around to limiting it.
