what will your new years resolution be?
And don't ask me why I'm posting this thread now, people have been talking about Christmas since November
(pstt, Mods, if this takes up wasteful space you are free to lock it(but you'd be free to do that anyway))

Mine will be to actually finish a game on dbpro XD

alus.portbb.com go there.

Mine will be to realease Dream and get high tailing to finish all the prep and outline for the graphic novel. And do turn work in on time. And to have mouse movement so easy to use someone who sucks at games can pick it up and be able to navigate around.

Either I need more sleep (which is possible, this is hour 31 without rest), or that was the funniest thing I've read on TGC in a very, very long time.

My resolution, to see one of MISoft's games (Real Estate Magnate (formerly known as "Domesticated Ferret"), Project Sewer Rat, Capital Punishment, or Project Starving Fox) sell at least 5,000 copies in their first month of being released. Don't say it's impossible until they're all announced in WIP threads . Agent Dink is "in the know" and has good reasons to have high expectations I think . And also, I'd like MISoft to build up enough manpower that I can quit programming and stick to what I do best, game design and team management. Someday Matt, someday...

Other resolutions: to keep up my "getting in shape" thing which has had stellar results to date, to move out of this crummy apartment, to play Bizar's Dream game when it's finished (love the WIP btw), and to visit my kid sister (well, not really a kid, she's 23 years old lol) and my niece, who recently moved out to Oregon. I wasn't really keen on going until I heard my niece say "'ello unc-uh Matt" for the first time. Friggin' kids and their tractor-beam language!

My new year resolution
1) I accept the come back of Serdjo, that is for the 1st January 2008.
2) I will not act like Serdjo. But I will make my own game, and I'll post my own screen shot.
3) Thank you for this good year 2007, with the new gen video games, wii, ps3, wbox360, crysis, and I hope that 2008 will bring good games (maybe good TGC games, DBC or DBpro games)
Edit: I'd like to play good FPS Creator x10 games ! Thank you.

Wait... so are you saying you're Serdjo and you're back to try and be a regular, serious, contributing member of our community? Or are you simply bringing up Serdjo and stating you don't want to be like him, which is a bit redundant? Matt is confused.

He's either Serdjo, or his biggest fan,

the latter I doubt, because he'd need to beat me.

My new years resolution? Not a clue - to lose weight? Since I've not been to Karate I've packed a few pounds.

Well Serdjo, I certainly hope you've learned a few invaluable lessons about webiquette and gained the insightful wisdom that a forceful visit to barbie.com can teach someone. Hope to see a genuine screenshot of your actual, original, non-doctored work in the future

Playing Dream is definitely a great idea. There's even more to it than in my review in Untitled, as I hinted in the review! It's an amazing, overwhelming plot twist.

Wow, I thought it was common since it happened to DrewG hehe. I definitely think the mods should have that power when banning people. Say, three mods vote to approve the barbie ban and it happens, something like that. Not that it would happen probably, but it'd still help lower some of the sillyness on TGC from time to time .

My new year's resolution are:

1) Actually start working on a game instead of continually adding features to the engine because I have no ideas

2) Get better at Spanish

3) Stop failing English

4) Convert more people to my religion

5) Beat Super Mario Galaxy

6) Watch Serge get banned again

Hmmm let's see....

1. Master Japanese and Russian.

2. Get a better job.

3. Become 100% independent

4. Not to convert anyone to my religion (as it's only common courtesy to hold your beliefs to yourself).

5. And finally to get better at playing the guitar.

1. Take one project and, well, finish it.
2. Put more effort into college.
3. Keep my stance on not whoring out a relationship in an MSN tag.
4. Refrain from making an incomplete list of resolutions next year...

Well after many years as a member of these forums and the forums that preceded these, popping my head up every now and then to sometimes ask stupid questions or put forth opinions on issues that no one really cares about, I might possibly, just every so slightly be inclined to actually release something useful to the community or at least something you would hopefully enjoy. Hmmm…will see…

I'm on so irregularly I doubt that anyone even notices me...

O look...I’m tearing up now...someone hand me a tissue.

lol @ Duplex. I'll be your friend :p

1) To actually get in a decent band. (I already know I'm going to fail this one :p)
2) To try not to fail college. (This one's looking tenuous too)
3) To decide what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. (Probably corner shops. Forever.)
4) To make something in DarkBASIC which isn't basically just 1 array with maybe a 3d object or some 2d squares (this'll be a challenge for me... The only things I've made recently are snake, 3d Tic Tac Toe and a slightly glitchy version of that game where you click on blocks to delete all adjacent ones of the same colour)

...That's about all I can think of. Number 3 is the only one which is probably going to happen, but I'll give the others a bash at least.
