I read somewhere, early adopters are gona get screwed again.

The 8800GT manufacturing delay is for a new reference fan with more fins and lower noise.

Nice... but, why not buy an aftermarket? They're not really *that* expensive

Secondly, I don't know if I'd want an 8800gt, they're way expensive, I'd just as soon splurge and go for a higher end 8600gts. I hear the 8800gt is good for overclocking (and beating an 8800gts), but it's still very expensive.

Would I be better off buying 2 8600gts cards and run in sli? At least then I can run most games until I can afford the second 8600, or do you think a guy like me should just live with his 8400gs (crap) card and go for the 8800gt after I've saved up 300+ dollars?

Right now I can find an msi 8600gts diamond plus for $120, or $150 new.

Dear Nvidia:

What good is a new fan when the drivers dont control the auto-fan properly, and all of your customers (8800 series) are forced to use Riva Tuner to keep from frying their shiny new cards, you tools?

Nah, screw you guys (just messin'.. I appreciate the advice), I'm not biting on this one, I want to get playing some decent games quick I'll upgrade to an 8600gts first, and then sli that beast in with an 8800whatevers as soon as I save up the moneys.

@Jerico, you can't SLI unlike video cards I don't think, unless they changed that recently.
