A part of me thinks Hatton is too much for Mayweather to handle... another part of me thinks Hatton is going to get dropped in 8 rounds. I dunno, Oscar De La Hoya came really, really close to beating Mayweather. "Ricky Fatton" is in the best shape I've seen him in in a very, very long time, and if he can figure out how to transmit his raw power into Mayweather, I think Floyd might have serious trouble. At the same time, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the poound for pound best fighter in the world, easily the highest decorated fighter since Roy Jones' hayday with belts in multiple weight classes. He certainly didn't get there through sheer luck . If Ricky Hatton wants to win, he better go for a knockout or he WILL LOSE the decision.

Exactly, I agree with you Matt, even if Hatton gets more points due to more hits I believe the decision will go to Mayweather, Hatton is a tuff lad and will not quit until someone drops him and I can't see that happening, Hatton will win!

If this is about boxing, probably the loser didn't see that last punch coming neither...

Well, I think he did to be honest, I just don't think he could have stopped it. Simply outgunned. I don't want to say who the winner was in case anyone hasn't seen the match yet, but yikes... I really didn't see it ending like that, lol.

I thought the same thing, kinda surprising really. If he did things differently he could have possibly ended the fight in the first round but couldn't get it together quick enough. He sort of burned himself out, I think that's what lead to the KO.

I personally watch UFC.... I like watching people destroy each other with their skill, not people with big gloves just walking in circles and hitting each other, then eventually getting dropped...

Anyone watch the end of the ultimate fighter last night? The real two who should have gotten a contract should have been Jared, and war machine.... jared was wearing war machines blood for his trunks!

All that aside, i'd say that hatton is gonna win... IF he can get some decent endurance...

Well, watching your reaction pretty much seems to imply that Hatton got KO'ed. Don't need to be a rocket physician to read that from your posts - unless you're screwing with me and that's not what happened.

Was gonna watch it, our Uni bar was charging £5 to watch it per person, then I realized what time it was on and thought sleepy sleep was a good idea (went to bet 5am the night before), then the joke was on me because the guys upstairs kept me awake until 2am and I could not get to sleep until 4.

Should have just watched the damn match.

Hope it was crap and not worth seeing at all because I'm a miser.

Well, it ended in a knockout, but I can't say who was left standing up in round 10. Really, it was pretty surprising and would've been either way, hehe.

Yeah, my flatmate who watched said that he was really disappointed in the knockout, mainly because he was rooting for the other guy.

Dare I ask, who won? Hehe.

I think Ricky Hatton did amazingly well considering he was fighting TWO men in that ring!
The ref was absolutely diabolical and I beleive there really ought to be an enquiry into it.
Hattons style is to get close in and fight inside but as soon as they got close, the ref was jumping between them adn yelling 'break'. Also, he was shouting 'Ricky this' and 'Ricky that' all the time. It must have be incredibly off-putting.

Ricky Hatton was the real winner for me. He was on top for the first 7 rounds and if the ref had allowed him to fight his own style he could certainly have won.

You've probably worked it out from my post but jsut in case ... it was 'Pretty Boy' and if anyone is upset at me giving away the result ... What did you expect if you read a post about the fight?

Yeah, you missed it . It was a decent fight too. After that first round I was pretty sure Hatton had the fight in the bag lol. And yeah, the ref was pretty stupid. That happens all the time in boxing, especially Cortez, he's pretty well known for making really bad calls and disrupting fights in the wrong ways. He'll let a clinch happen for ages and ignore rabbit punching well within his line of site, then a round later he'll take a point away for the same thing, and the next round he lets it slide again. It's pretty amazing he still has a job lol.

Lol we almost got this fight on pay per view, but I thought 54.95 was a little much for one fight, that in all reality could have been a one round knockout anyways.

Just finished watching it myself and have to say that was the worst ref I've seen for many, many years.

Total disgrace and yes - there should be an enquiry and if not, a complaint put in.

Mayweather kept turning around and ducking down with his head below belt level yet it was Hatton who was penalised when he hit him. The point deduction was for exactly that but the punch didn't even make contact - it hit the ropes!

But, even as a Brit, you have to admit that Mayweather was at times pretty damn good wasn't he?...

Oh well... What can I say?

I'm not going to say this or say that about it, well done for Ricky for giving his all, that's all anyone can ask of him, he is a top fighter and will certainly be back again - I know just how hard that way of life is, used to fight myself!

well done Hitman!!

Yeah, as much as people hate Mayweather for various reasons, or love Hatton, nothing can be taken away from Mayweather. Most people would have gone down after some of the beating he took from Hatton, his speed and finesse definitely earn him a few merit badges every fight, lol.
