Email addresses are normally offered through your hosting service.

You'd be much better off instead of trying to do this, to do it properly. Buy a domain and a regular hosting package. Your hosting package holds your email, and your domain points to your webhost.

I'd recommend spidahost.com for hosting and domains. (their customer service is the best ive ever had from a hosting company, that includes godaddy (by far).)

Oh, and just a tip it's good idea not to compare bandwidth from one company with another, most hosts "oversell", meaning they sell more bandwidth than they can afford, in the hope that their customers will not use all of it. With spidahost, you actually get what they are offering.

Right, I was saying, I recommend you move your website so you get an all in one package. That's emails, domains and webhosting.

As an afterthought, if you don't want to move your site, their service is so cheap it's still the best if all you're going to use it for is email. What you can do is setup an index page on spidahost to point to your true webhost.

http://www.webconfs.com/how-to-redirect-a-webpage.php

So you create an html file called index.php and paste the php solution from the above in your html file. Whenever someone goes to www.whatever.com it will forward them to the domain where your real website lives.

I use Active-Domain for my mod2software.com domain (currently unhosted) they are pretty cheap and you can have a bunch of email addresses, and forward them etc. I just renewed my domain for 2 years and added a whois shielding service to it, all for 20 bucks

keep your domain registrar and your web hosting separated

thank you and yes i agree that godaddy is very good
(i thought it was expensive because it was giving the price in $ and my currency is £)

so in 2-3weeks i will have my domain name and every thing

i haven't heard of 1and1 but i will check it out but i will probably go with godaddy

do yourself the favor of not hosting with the domain registrar. come to the host with a domain already registered elsewhere. the reson being, if you get into any kind of dispute, or the hosting sucks and you want to move, if the same company holds control over your domain name and the hosting, youre screwed if you want to move to another host. Basically they will lock you out of your own domain. Its not worth the trouble, and its effortless to do the two steps separately.

good luck however you go
