was wondering if anyone has any links to resources on animation..
first, I could use a good sprite program, I use photoshop, but feel much more comfortable with the oldschool programs that were a pixel by pixel drawing tool.

another thing I think would be handy, would be reference pictures of animations, like say, a walking animation with all the frames of animation displayed.

anyone got any of the above?

Do you need it from top-down view like final fantasy on Snes. Or side view Like Mortal Kombat 1 on Snes? Or full 3d (but still 2d (man that is confusing )) Like sonic 3D on the snes "whooops sega "?

what I am aiming for, is a side to side walking reference.
I just want to observe a natural movement frame by frame.
I am going to start with a simple sidescroller, and use the same type of reference when I move into 3d(I just need a feel on how the legs and arms move at what point during a walk)
