Is this too good to be true?

www.insanegb.com is giving 5GB free hosting, with 20GB bandwidth a month with a bunch of great extras...

Too good to be true?
Google doesn't seem to think so, what's your opinion?

Catch is, there is no guarentee of service.
the EULA means you have to abide by their rules, and hope they don't start charging; where as they can change everything as and when they feel like it perfectly free from any legal responsibility as you've accepted their terms.

I mean probably will be good for a while, but I wouldn't look at this as some free solution.
20GB bandwidth is also extremely small.

The host I currently uses has a 320GB bandwidth, which while we were doing the podcast often had around 30GB used up; that's from simple podcasts. So imagine if you have a 100MB game, and it gets quite popular... bam you'll experience downtime fairly regularly.

raven, what host is that? I am currently looking at reliable host. Relying on freewebs.....well, kinda ghetto when doing commerical stuff LOl

1&1 Web hosting, I'm on the top Linux package atm cause when we got it; seemed the best value for money. That was over 3years ago now.

They keep expanding the package so god knows what it does now, should check them out though http://www.1and1.com as they generally quite good quality.

I have heard of 110mb which offer something like 10GB of space and 300GB of bandwidth-However there editor and such is completly useless. Freewebs may lack on bandwidth and so on but couldn't you host all your files on fileplanet or such, photos on photobucket and vids on youtube and link to them? Then you use like 1kb of bandwidth cause your only hosting text!
