Does anyone else think that Master Chief sounds EXACTLY like Tom Hanks when he speaks?

Here is a YouTube video, he only says "Not yet" in this. I can't find any other vids of him speaking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCsdPszJLNQ

Unfortunately he doesn't speak all that much, but it's uncanny don't you think? It's better in other videos but nobody else agrees with me at all.

No, sounds more like George Clooney and it doesn't really sound like him, it does sound like someone but I can't think who.
He pronounces the words a bit like Tom Hanks but he doesn't sound like him IMO.

In no way does he sound like Tom Hanks and I've watched plenty of movies with him in to know.

Why not just look in the credits to see who plays him?

Steve Downes does the voice for old Chiefy.

I think it would be pretty funny if Tom Hanks did the voice though, anyone remember a few years back when Hanks was in absolutely everything! .

I know it's not Tom Hanks, and yes it does sound like him.

Paticularily in Saving Private Ryan.

Maybe Tom Hanks could do the voice in the movie? Get some star power on the go.

He DEFINATELY doesn't sound like George Clooney - can't hear it at all.

Has Tom Hanks ever done a game? He's pretty much the biggest movie star in the world today, that I can think of anyway. No offense to Halo, but he's above doing some FPS game... he'd have to be in some Peter Molyneux game, the voice of reason in some ultimate god sim, lol. Or maybe the narrator in an epic noir tale of a detective hitting rock bottom and solving some mystery about a missing statuette, kind of like his character in Road to Perdition, but, you know, more law-abiding and such

Eh wha?

Tom Hanks would KILL the Halo movie (if it's even being made). In my opinion we need more movies without big movie stars. I'm sick of seeing Tom Cruise, Matt Damon, Tom Hanks, and Ben Affleck in every other movie. Honestly over the last few years I've found it hard to lose myself in a movie if it has a big time celebrity--- I much more enjoy movies where all the actors are virtually unknown.

I'd say that Vin Diesel would be the best Master Chief in the movie, if not The Rock .
