I have finally found a PS3 game that is good old fashioned fun.
I really like the control style and it is the best tennis game I've ever played. The mini-games vary from normal training to bizarre, almost drug-induced craziness, and by completing them you improve your player's skills (in career mode).

I am expecting a lot of people will say this is a load of crap but I find it refreshing to find a game that is about fun after sifting through a stream of "kill people, it's fun!" games.

Other games I've played since getting my PS3 (3 days ago )

Assassin's Creed - I think the title is grammatically incorrect. I like this game a lot but I can't get into the storyline; probably because it keeps ripping you out of it into a stupid sub-storyline every ten minutes. If this was a straight medieval game it would be awesome.

PES 2008 - Amazing, the best football game ever! I was getting a bit disheartened with the PES series, seeing as the last two haven't been anything special, but this one is fantastic. Whatever you do, don't buy the PS2 version, it is virtually a clone of PES6 and is nothing like the next-gen version.

The Darkness - I liked the trigger buttons being used to pull the triggers of your guns but the whole Darkness aspect ruined the game for me.

Heavenly Sword - Am I playing yet? This was a very boring game, I took it back 2 hours after taking it out!

Call of Duty 4 - Very good, I don't usually like this type of game but I really got into it and cared about getting shot.

Uncharted - Haven't gotten very far yet but I like it already. It's a bit of a cross between Tomb Raider and The Da Vinci Code; try not to think too much as the puzzles usually aren't as complicated as they seem.
Looks awesome and well worth playing .

Stranglehold - RUBBISH, I've played better games on my calculator.
It doesn't even deserve mentioning other than to warn people about how lame it is.

What's incorrect about that?

Anyway, it would be kind of cool to get some of these funky new style consoles - I have one of the original gameboy advances and a sega dreamcast, both of which are old enough to be a little crap but not old enough to be cool like the Megadrive is...

Oh yeah and I have a Gamecube which I bought for like 20 quid and then didn't want to splash out any money on games for, so I have like 6 games for that all of which are cheap and most of which are rubbish...

Well I have to disagree about the Dreamcast, it's like the best console for homebrew, IMO one of the most under rated and under used consoles ever. Keep the DC, go onto DCEmu and get some emulators for it, ohh and Quake is great on it as well. It's absolutely great for SNES emulation.

The Gamecube has some seriously amazing games on it, like Pikmin 1+2, Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4 - if you don't have these games then go buy them right now, I got a Gamecube just for them.

I'm waiting till next summer or thereabouts for a PS3, hopefully there will be a healthier list of games for it by then.

less is more, but if less is more how you keeping score?

Yeah that's the one thing I don't like, but I'm sure there's enough to keep me occupied until the big titles come out. I'm still in the "oooh... aaah" phase lol

The PS3 is like Optimus Prime waiting for a bus.

PS I found that you can play Virtua Tennis with the SixAxis sensors, it is insane! I don't know why people say the sensing is crap, it seems great on this game, but it's so difficult to play it like that. You don't press any buttons at all!
How does the SixAxis work? I don't understand how the controller knows where it is .
