hi i have a question i have fps creator
and now i wanna inport my maya models but than i need a
.x as model thats no problem i downloaded a plugin to export my model to .x

but the problem is a need to get my texture as a .tga how do i get this .tga file ? at the picture you can see how i textured my model

plzzz help
ps. (i'm dutch so my english is not so good)

Right.

Maya, especially the new version, does not support .X export.

You need to download Milkshape.

Then go to

window --> settings and preferences-->plugin manager

and turn on .OBJ export.

Export your model as an OBJ and import it into milkshape, then export from there as a .x

BUT here's your biggest issue.

Your model isn't textured yet! You just have different materials to each bit of the model.

You need to UV map the model so that all the parts of the mesh share 1 UV map and 1 material.

Hope that helps. Also, if your version of maya is legal, I'd downgrade to 7.5 or 7, it's much more stable for making stuff for games, alot of plugins aren't supported above 7.5.

i'm on a game design school
and we use 8.5 for our games
and i just whant 2 try some stuf whith fps
so fps creator doesnt seport divrned meterials on one model ?
bit strange because i think you whant to let shine your eyes
en not your skin for example
