FPSC Classic Models and Media / textures don't work!!!

I am a noob at this, I am making entitys. here is what I do

I xport my 3d file of a textured guy to 3ds, then I inport to blender, the textures are missing. then I export to x and do all the other stuff etc. and it is then an entity. I can do that much, even make the guy have a texture in the entity maker.

how do I keep the textures on him in the 3d modeler (I use anim8or) why do they always go byebye when I export to 3ds????
