Before I came to the DB community I had alot of fun playing with RM2K
(You may of heard of it as RPG Maker 2000) ANyway now there is the K3 edition

with side battles the lot

You can download it from my site
http://www.sharksoftware.co.uk

On the home page zoom down to the bottom where it says
"RPG MAKER 2003 DOWNLOADS"

There there is a link to get the program.

Thats all I have to say

Way too limiting, half the reason I bought DBP was because all those create-a-game games sucked.

RPG maker is pretty cool. I used it before DB. To anyone who hasn't tried it, it is a complete engine. You just import chipsets, and drag and drop. It has similar graphics to SNES.

....SNES?

I'm sorry, but why in all hell would someone want to make a game with both an engine that limited and graphics that amazingly shoddy? I just don't get it... is this FF-style 'RPG's, and the graphics are for nostalgia or something?

amazingly shoddy?!?

What? Now you are making fun of the SNES??? How dare you. I guess you are not a Nintendo fan.

Here's the deal:
A while ago, Japanese company named ASCII makes an app called RPGMaker (or however you say it in Japanese). A guy named Don Miguel comes along and hacks it and translates it into English. Now we can download it and make RPG's. You just can't sell them because you need to buy the Japanese version. I'm not sure exactly how old it is, but the first English one was made in '97, so the Japanese version must be even older. Overall, it's okay, but no where near as good as DB.

Well, see for yourself.

Personally, I'd take T3DGM over this RPGmaker any day... I really despise jap RPGs but don't mind mediocre FPSs

Thanks for explaining andrew. No, I am NOT a nintendo fan

I find it amusing that a Jappanese company took the name ASCII .
