hey, i dont know if any of you play ps2 but i was wondering, what could i use for a mic, and where could i get one, because i wanna talk online. I was also wondering if you could use a usb mic. thanks in advance

umm, i recomend need for speed most wanted, call of duty games, i have number 2 (tee hee) madden 07 or 08, if you like football, and guitar hero series. im wondering, how would you use a singstar mic on the ps2 to talk online as well?

I'm not planning on NFS, but was going to get Gran Turismo 4. I was also going to get COD3

They have a Sony-specific headset (too lazy to check the link posted by Zaibatsu to see if that's what it is), with a built in mic and whatnot. Rugged as hell, mine's been stepped on, soaked with a soft drink, and it had a soccer ball kicked into it while it was hanging on the wall (yes, I play indoors, sue me lol), and it still works just as good as when I bought it

I would check your local computer shops. You can usually pick up a second hand one that was bundled with SOCOM or Ghost Recon really cheap in the bargain bin. I use the USB headset that was bundled with Ghost Recon for the PS2 (actually made by Logitech). It also works a treat with the PS3 and supports all of the in game chatting and conferencing. Its not wireless like a bluetooth one but the cable is pretty long.

@ general powell you will need a headset to chat(say something through mic and here thrtough earpiece). Otherwise a mic is just for singing or voice recognition but no ps2 games support voice recognition. Check out gamestop they have a ton of headsets.
