I'm an absolute Resident Evil obsesser so I can't wait to give this a shot. Those two screens alone show you've put a fair amount of effort into its recreation.

Looking forward to the download link!

Yes, I have X10. I've been playing around with it since yesterday and am in the works of creating an interesting level with it. Anyway, I'll download now. Provided I won't be double posting, I'll put up my review once I'm done.

EDIT: I may as well add on my review here.

Firstly, the level of recreation was really good. Despite how short it was, it was very nice to see some of the areas of 1996 (and 2002) all over again. I especially liked the dining room and connecting corridor, I thought they were done well.

My only real gripe is that I had already run into several zombies before I found the ammo in a dark section of the main hall. It would have been nice if the starting gun had held at least one clip.

None the less, being a traditional RE-junkie, I really liked it. Despite constantly seeing the ragdolling when testing my level, I still awe at the simple addition to X10. Considering it hasn't been in a Resident Evil game before, it was nice to see some realistic zombie deaths .

I'd love for you to continue this once your done with your current project. It could turn into something really great.

I'll give it a 8/10, simply for its shortness and the ammo issue. I can't wait to see more from you .

What are you talking about? x10 has all the original fpsc zombies plus a new fat zombie.

BTW, It looks awesome but the graphics don't look much different from fpsc x9.

@ Jiffy - Yeah, the zombies are supposed to stay in the dining room, but somehow they wandered off to the main hall....

@ shadow651 - Great idea!, i forgot X10 had the poster settings...

@ Chees Hed - Just the normal stock zombie from Sci-Fi...

@ Darmic - Yeah the graphics dont change but the AI does, it makes games more realistic

Go to the bottom of your scifi media, check it out, there's like 15 different zombies.

ok sorry for wasting your time. i just dont have fpsc x10 and i thought there was only 1 new zombie. ()

EDIT:
when you said "check out the bottom of your stock media, there's like 15 different zombies down there" you were talking about fpsc x10's stock media right? fpsc x9 had "zombies" but zombies arent camo and dont usually know how to use a machine gun.

The zombies in X10 are upgraded versions of the same zombies, but each zombie has the capability to go unarmed, therefore giving them the more traditional melee attack style.

Yes, there is only 1 new zombie. And yes, I was talking about in x9, whether they are crappy zombies or good zombies, they are still considered a zombie.

Cool, really does remind me of classic Res Evil. You should do some really bad voice overs to keep it authentic .

yeah you should have purposely terrible voice acting.

actually i still have the first Resident Evil and after playing through the game for 9 hours, not dying, and knowing how to do all the puzzles i still can only beet 1/4 of the game in that time. ( note: this game is really really really really really really really long )

@chees hed: Wait... Resident Evil... long? The original was far from long, and the REmake--which added a lot to the overarching design--was just as short. I've beaten REmake in under 3 hours personally (But I know that game like the back of my hand--probably better ) and unlocked the awesome rocket launcher. Gotta love it!

The only long Resident Evil game is RE4, and that's hardly an RE game (still a great one though )

i have the directors cut version that has a crap load of add on to the game. at least thats what they advertised when i bought it on Amazon.

Quote: "The only long Resident Evil game is RE4, and that's hardly an RE game (still a great one though )"

you think that was hardly an RE game. have you taken a look at RE5? it is absolutely NOTHING (capps off) to do with the rest of the games (1-3) it continues off RE4 and has nothing to do with the rest except for the fact that you play as Chris Redfield. (i've been wanting to play as him in a next-gen since i got RE1 [about a year and a half ago]) though i heard they might have to re-do that game because critics say it was racist. ( you play as a white guy going against an army of African zombies, i dont know about you, but that doesnt seem extremely racist. in fact, if the critics are going to cry over this and ignore REAL problems in the world, they are pathetic. and to tell you the truth you have to be somewhat racist to insinuate something like that. when i saw the trailer, i didnt think "wow that is a racist game", i thought "wow that is a cool game [no offense to anyone who thinks differently]") but that is just a rumor and i doubt that capcom will re-do it. they'll probably let it out like it is and if you have a problem with it, wait for RE6.

The Director's Cut doesn't so much add-on to the play time as much as it mixes up the camera angles etc.

And well we can't really draw conclusions on what RE5 will be like. All we know is the setting and the main character. As far as the racist angle goes--I think people's view on that is extremely biased. We've been shooting Anglo Saxon zombies and Spanish ganados, what's so different if we change the locale and therefore the townsfolk? Racist isn't a one-way term, so people look too much into it. They've said neither the Los Illuminados or Zombies will appear in the game, and judging by the E3 trailer, the enemies look interesting. Mind you, 50 of them coming at you at once isn't what Resident Evil is supposed to be about.

Sorry, I'm going off-track. Back on topic .

I really hope you expand on this, Endless Fps Team, it could become an awesome game!

RE4 is my all time favorite game, I'd say it has that vital Resi feel to it, it's just a lot more action packed than the previous games, I mean in the previous games you'd simply run from a lot of the zombies (at least I did!), in RE4 your more inclined to kill them, what with all the ammo and guns and grenades lying around inside crows nests. RE5 looks amazing, looking forward to it.

RE5 has like no horror elements to it. it's all action. oh yeah and i found out the Las Plagas for RE4 are going to be the cause and Chris Redfield is there hunting down the source of it. No more T-virus The "zombies" are really cool. roariing like animals and they run just as fast as you do. they are twice as vicious as Los Illuminados. I also found out that 25% of the game play is melle ( spelled wrong ) since you hardly ever had enough ammo in RE4 they gave you a better meele. I love how the gameplay is almost exactly the same as RE4

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicals is a remake.difference is:
1. next-gen for the Wii
2. on-rail shooting style gameplay
3. it goes further into the story of Alan Wesker
Its also a remake of RE2,3,4, and 0

It isn't really a "remake" as such. It plays through the story of RE 0, 1 and 3, and has an extra chapter that expands on Albert Wesker's perspective. That said, it isn't attempting to replace the original games in a remake perspective--it's just sort of a way to look through the games in an "innovative" way. I haven't actually played the Wesker chapter (waiting for the Perfect Shot to come out first before getting it), but apparently it attempts to make some sense with the gap between 3/CODE: Veronica (Best RE game. Period.) and RE4. Oh, and Umbrella Chronicles has the worst voice acting yet. Seriously. Playing through the RE1 chapter, I asked myself if the original VO was better. And I was serious too. REmake's VO was 50x better.

Where did you find out that the Ganados are reappearing in RE5? I've read numerous articles saying Capcom stated neither zombie nor ganado would reappear.

Anyway, we're straying from topic so let's keep it to the X10 fangame .

Endless, if you continue this, do you plan on making it an actual recreation of RE1, or just a... sort of walkthrough of the areas with enemies and keys and such? I really hope to see some innovative puzzles reminiscent to the puzzles of old (Old to Young Painting Puzzle anyone? That'd be easy in X10)

i saw a trailer where Chris Redfield spicifically said "i have found myself in Africa to seek out the Las Plagas that has been let loose in this area" ( i dont thinnk that's an exact quote, but he did sayy there was an outbrake of the Las Plagas in Africa, so i assume they are Gonados 2.0 kinda thing ) I also think you have to fight Wesker again.

I have the entire extended E3 RE5 trailer on my Xbox 360. He mentions an outbreak, from memory, but never mentions the Las Plagas. The only other RE5 trailer was before it was confirmed to be Chris, and he never says anything.

gee how many viruses does Capcom plan to have? to tell you the truth i think fighting T-virus zombies would be cool if it were RE4 gameplay. But, lets see how it is in 1st person gameplay.( i havent played it yet because i havent got mycomputer and direct x10 set up yet. i'll probably set it up the week after Christmas but I'm gonna order fpscx10 either today or tommorow.

Predictions for RE5 outbreak:
1. Albert Wesker might have druged up the Las Plagas
2. it might be something different altogether, made by an Umbrella Corp in Africa

i already knew chris was for someone else, and Wesker will be in it like he was 75%of the other games. it wierd the new one is re5 since Resident Evil has like 11 or 12 games ( i counted, 11 made, 12 including the 5th one )

The screenshots don't really scream RE to me. I don't know... ever since RE4... Resident Evil isn't the same in my book. Hey, that's not a bad thing... RE4 rocked!!! But still, it wasn't like the rest. I would like to see more work before I actually comment on this.

alright played the demo. i only got to play through it once because your game crashed my computer 7 times. i know what it is though: when you fist meet those 2 zombies, go ahead and kill the one on the left. but there is something wrong with the one on the right. kill the right one and dont get too close or it will attack you and your computer will crash immediatly ( or ad least mine did ) and once he's dead, ( you need to kill him from the other side of the room ) go to the LEFT side of the table and go that way because if you go to the right then your ( my ) computer will crash, when you go into the hallway dont go to the door to the right thats fake because a zombie will appear out of nowhere and your ( my ) computer will crash. go to the left and turn around and be surprised. after that everything worked perfectly.

actually, when i said " dont go to the door on the right that is fake because a zombie will appear out of nowhere", i actually think that was the zombie on the roght from the previous room, so everyone, remember 2 things:

1. kill the zombie on the rioght as fast as you can and stay very far away from it.

2. never go to the right on the first romm and hallway.

what doesn't kill me makes me stronger; but if something kills me, I'm not that strong am I?

maybe you might want to move the zombies further away from the wall. and i dont know if you neccesarily want to, but you might want to add some more lightmapping ( like i said you might not want to because RE1 didnt have them. ) you also need music, but other than that it was great and i finally know how well fpsc x10 will work on my pc ( beyond perfect, it actually ran faster than it did in the trailers and stuff, so i dont know why, but fpsc x10 runs like a hedgehog on my computer. )great game and cant wait to see where you get with it.

Yeah... you have a point... it does. But I just wouldn't have it that lit if you feel me. It DOES look like it... but it's not CREEPY enough like a RE game. And yes I've played them all... RE Gamecube and RE4 my favorites.

( By the way... nice Skeletor Avatar.)

oh, i thought you ment the scenery didnt look like RE, so i thought you didnt play it. well, i have the 1995 RE, it wasnt that creepy, so i didnt say anything. i do think this needs RE style music cus the demo didnt have any. but im waiting to see what the final looks like.

what doesn't kill me makes me stronger; but if something kills me, I'm not that strong am I?
