The first minority report one is just a novel thing really, not all that useful application-wise but wow, that headset demo was incredible. Would love to see how that works with a game like Call of Duty!

Although, on second thought, there are still a lot of unattended issues for full implementation. The incredibly limited movement would mean it would work fine for games on-rails (i.e. Virtua Cop) but other than that, unless you have it work similar to a joystick (pulling left means continuous movement left, etc.) then it's only really useful for a static world (one you can't move around in).

for a gun game, just make a gun controller, and have the movement buttons on the gun. Or have two controllers. One for movement(say in your left hand), and the gun. Or the wii controller(not sure if that has buttons on it that could be used for firing or not...).

This guy is so innovative with his ideas. No doubt some of this stuff will be put into games in the near future.

The Wii-thing doesn't have pen pressure, so a tablet is still much easier/better to use.

Hehe, I tried out the head tracking demo from his site the other day - it was very cool, Someone should make a game with Dark GDK.Net using it at some point (not me I'm far to lazy ).

Utilizing Dark GDK can you include some of the WiiMote PC DLL's that have been made without any modification? I know that they need to be worked on for DBP to get full compatibility, but what about GDK?

The library the guy in the vid used for communicating with the Wii is in C#, I see no reason why you couldn't use it along side Dark GDK.Net.

link for anyone interested:

and the guys site where you can download the demo project:

If there was a lib for C++ to work with the Wii, I dont think the DGDK would affect it. You would only really use it for the drawing.

you could put the IR LED on a spring so that pressing on the wall would switch it on, with a more advanced mechanism you could get pressure sensing.
