Since the day has come and is almost gone, what did everyone get this year? Any nice surprises, or big disappointments?

For me, the nice surprise was a Nintendo DS with a couple of games, as most places are out of stock. The booby prize was a leather holder specifically for my driving license, with my initials embossed onto it. Can't think of anything more pointless, especially since I need my license in my wallet as proof of ID.

Can't complain though. Looking forward to my xmas dinner now! Any interesting gifts?

Wish that's true. Parents decided to divorce few weeks ago and it appears they aren't as mature as they should be. They keep fighting and screaming over nothing.

A cell-phone charger for my car.

It may seem like a booby gift, but it's really useful, as I'm always forgetting to charge my cell-phone, and it's always dead when I need it most

A 4-Gig iPod Nano, now I don't have to carry around a case full of CDs everywhere I go! I'm downloading the contents of my favorite CDs onto it right at this moment, and I still have about $15 dollars worth of songs I can get off of the online store, so I'm happy.

Also a Nintendo Wii for the whole family, and several games, including Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario, Sonic, and about five or six others.

Among other things,

Ultimate Santana CD
Seagate 320gb SATA HDD
Orange Box for PC

Speaking of which, its the most ridiculous setup of any game I've owned. The box comes with 2 discs, but so far all I've done is attempted to install the first one on my computer(without internet, only my parents' old comp has a connection) and came up with an error saying I was missing some dll. So I googled and found out that in order to install the games, I have to be connected to the internet and proceed to download everything with Steam. I started downloading Portal a few hours ago, it's only at 20% now...Basically I've got a big box that's only useful as a key, even to play single player I've got to download every bloody game one at a time and transfer it (hopefully) to my computer, the only one with a good enough system to run it.

Coming from anyone else, that would be really worrying. From you, batvink, it's just remotely disturbing.

Sounds like we have a few interesting prezzies.

And rami, good luck chap. My parents suck a lot too. These days I just let them get on with it. There's nothing you can do about it really, short of bumping them off and claiming the inheritance.

For christmas I received:

Crossword puzzle book + free pen
Snowglobe with a santa in it
A long pen with a snowman on it
Tea infuser kit
Dove moisterising cream (I'm assuming someone sent me the wrong gift)
Dove moisterising bath soak (again I assume I got someone elses!)
Stained Glass paining kit
A warm blanket
A king size bed cover

People kept asking me what I wanted for the last month, I had no idea. Got a new duel core direct X 10 PC, no much point in upgrading it! Got a new laptop from the carphone warehouse deal. Plus I've got a subscription to Metaboli so that's all the games I can eat. So I'm not doing to badly!

@rami - it isn't that bad having your parents divorced. Like, I haven't seen my dad in 6 years or more, but I really couldn't care less. Maybe thats just cuz I dont' care anymore, idk. But it wasn't bad for a little bit after(my dads kinda a jerk though, so he ruined things...) But if your dad is halfway decent, things won't change that much. Hope everything works out for you man, and merry christmas.
