Are you using walls or rooms, you have to use rooms.

You're probably new to FSPC, huh? When you place the door, make sure to paint the walls only. (Find the little icon on top with the paintbrush painting on a wall then make a wall over the door.)

You could either find that little icon, or you can press the 'm' key on your keyboard. This puts you into wall painting mode and you can fill in the missing sides.

thanks lol i my self being one of the oldest noobs on the forum wanted to know the answer to this one, always confused me why the door would work on walls thanks guys
