Hey, im quite new to this and id just like to ask: how do u get the premade models from fps creator and put them in 3dsmax 9

i made the zombie x file into .max by the save as option but it keeps saying "failed to open" when i try to load it into 3dsmax.

How can i do this?

i suck at this, but i love it

Because simply naming something .max, does not make it a ".max" file. You'd think with a 3000$ application, you'd know this.

I suggest the Autodesk forums, since a .x to .3ds/.max, is a general question better much more suited the people that made the modeling app then the makers of the mesh you're trying to import.

Conversion and file types are covered in this forum, but far be it from us to spoon feed the answers for the thousandth time. I know I myself have covered this topic for people, so I have my doubts that much searching was done.

You have 3DS Max 9 and you don't have a space bar... lol

Welcome to the forums and Merry Christmas!
Well it's a good idea to use the search button and read the stickies first. Hope you find the answer.

Cheers!

I dont have 3DSMax and I know this. the .max file extension is for gmax models and .3ds would be the 3DSMax file extension.
If you bought 3DSMax then Autodesk will be glad to give you all of the support you want on their site.

Please have mercy and use the search function.
