I finally found out that the GDK is now free YAY! And The Game Creators have teamed up with Micrsoft! Congrats! I have a question about the licencse.

1) IT's $200 right.
2) If upgraded versions of GDK comeout will i have to buy a new liscense or is it covered with all versions.

Thanks, YOU GUYS RULE!

dgdk is now free, but the commercial version is $499
Its my understanding that if you already own the $60 version of the dgdk, tgc will honor the upgrade to the commercial version for difference from 60 to 200 ($140) like the original set up was.

new users of the dgdk (never previously purchased the $60 version) get the freeware version free, but will need to pay 499 for the commercial version

double check me with someone at TGC or on the web site

You may want to direct your questions to The Game Creators directly for most of us are just guessing.

That said, sometimes they do visit the forums.

Best of luck!

How about using the free version to make a game. Then get that game anywhere near being worthy of selling. If you can get to that point, 500 bucks is nothing.

no, you update your copy of the dgdk.
