Wow, it drives me crazy when someone creates an account just to post a question with the same name. CRAZY.

Mr. "Game Testing", you're on a 3D game developing website. Look around.

Rofl.

You usually make RPG Games? Thats a skill and a half. And let me get this straight, you just got the idea one day (completely aside from your long-standing RPG career, right?) to become a games tester, and you think making a game will make you a shoe-in for that job? (Which, again, these "rpgs" you usually make will not count for right?).

Priceless.

You do not need to show a game company your game to be a game tester. Believe me, I did that for two years.

You will most likely have to take an aptitude test or something similar, but that depends on the size of the company you're applying. Game theory and knowledge is handy, and of course you should be good at playing games. Being able to play a game and reproduce a bug again and again takes a sort of patience that is unknown until you actually do it.

I really wouldn't want to be a game tester. Kids think it's just sitting around playing video games all day...Well, it is. BUT you have to explore a certain part of a map over and over again. Then do it while jumping. Then run into every corner, hammering at all the buttons while spinning the camera. Then write a report about it. Have fun.

Yes--- I remember one of my tasks for NHL was to go into a game, go into the instant replay feature, and zoom around to get a look at every player's face to make sure they resemble their real-life counterpart. I had to do this for every player on every team.

And then I had to check each player to make sure their "handedness" was correct i.e. which way they were holding the stick. Each player has a tendency to wear a visor or not, so I had to check that as well. Also, each player has their own brand name stick and skates they wear, so I had to verify those as well. There's hundreds of players in the NHL.

I'd be surprised if you knew it. It's a Dutch educational game for ages 6-10, used for teaching kids maths and language. The company that made it is quite near where I live. They were inspired by an old similar game series called Redcat. It mixed exploration and platform elements with excersises.

Imagine doing calculations like 6x2 and 'What is this?' for hours per day. I know why they picked me: noone else was stupid enough to do it. But since I was 16 and in dire need of money... yeah, well.

I did some mobile games testing for TKO software (now part of PopCap) testing such gems as Rampage (which wasn't great when it came out on the Atari) and Gauntlet. Believe me, playing the same game for weeks on end, trying to get past the 31st level just isn't fun. I assume it's different with console games, but going by what Jeku said it can't be too much fun either

I would expect grammar and punctuation would be important too - e.g. 'English Language'. After all, you are going to have to write reports on your findings and they need to be understood.

Oh, I just had a checklist with things I needed to tick and an official looking paper to take notes.

Sorry,
I am new for programming. I wrote a net plaer game ans I want to test it in my computer. How can I do it. I am entering the same IP to my program and it does not solve the problem. I copied the program into two different file name and I run them together and entered the same Ip. But, it is useless.

There is always "Second player waiting" command. What kind of communication I have to use directplay/directplay Ibin/Internet connection ?

Please help me I want to test my first game.
