Just a quick note to all you vector artists and 2D designers out there, who submit ideas to shirt printing sites. bang bang T shirts have upgraded their site with user logins and a user submission system. You can upload a design and get your buddies to vote and comment on it. ( that’s what im going )

If your like me and you send designs to multiple shirt printing websites, it’s another one to add on your list. My first user submitted design is below, a 4 colour vector of DOOM Guy:

Go ooon, give it a vote and let’s get it printed!

It doesn't have to look like a flash animation to be vectorized ^_^

Also, I know Wehtam_'s work is pretty awesome as all will soon see when the new MISoft site and logo is unveiled within the next week or so.

Oh I'm not saying the shirt isn't awesome, but I'd hardly call it vector art, being just a (what appears to be) blown up bitmap and all

Well, yeah, that's what it looks like, but he just made the "pixels" out of vector boxes

@Jerico2day: It is a vector piece, but the idea was to make it appear to be an overscaled BMP. Glad you like it though.

@Agent Dink: Cheers for the kind words

Heres my latest shirt design, can you name them all ?

[Random Fact]
Hitman: Contracts is only cracked game that you can buy in stores in Poland because publisher was changing the protection system. Cracker's nick was even added to credits.

How is the first shirt a vector? Looks like an enlarged version of the Doom guy face, regardless of whether it was vector traced or not.

[dumbquestion] What's "vector art"? How is it different than a normal image? Everyone seems to know except me. [/dumbquestion]

Putting it simply, a vector image is one built from coordinates rather than pixels/dots. It has the benefit of being able to display or print at any size without losing quality (e.g. going 'blocky').

Ah! So, something MS Paint is not capable of. (not that I'm really surprised)

It's something MS Paint wasn't really designed for. It really wasn't designed to do much

Any proper graphics program should offer the capability, some are better than others. I think Wehtam would be more qualified than me to offer some opinion on the matter.

It is a collection of vector squares aligned in a grid to match the appearance of an enlarged bitmap. So in Illustrator i could take one of those squares and move it about as a seperate entity.

Gordan Freeman(Half-Life), Agent #42(Hitman), Mastercheif(Halo)
Solid Snake(!Metal Gear Solid!), Lara Croft(Tombraider), Neo(Matrix)

Oh, I am good!

EDIT:
BTW, I'd like if my name could be changed back to Xenocythe
Sorry.. changing my name was a rather silly idea.

Yeah, hence why I said "vector traced". Anyone can take something and vector trace it in Illustrator, that doesn't really make it a vector, expect only technically.

Likin' your gaming legends design though.
