Well, if you've ever stood next to a campfire at night in THC: CW, you can see that there's some small flickering on the gun. It has nice lightmaps, as far as I know.
The weapons are all very nice, I actually have a small overview of them:
Weapons Overview
+Colt Revolver: Pretty weak, manual cocking of the hammer, takes moderate time to reload. 1.4/5
+Colt Navy: Still weak, manual hammer cocking, but takes up almost no time at all to reload. 1.5/5
+Colt Revolving Rifle: Very powerful, kills in 1-2 hits; manual hammering, takes a small time to reload. 4.9/5
+Sharps: My favorite weapon in this game. Holds 1 bullet per clip. Very powerful, kills in 1-2 hits. 5/5
+Springfield Musket: A musket, plain and simple. Takes a long time to reload, as to have to put the bullet in the barrel and shove it in with a metal rod. Kills in 1 hit, usually. 3.3/5
+Henry Rifle: 12 shot lever-action rifle. Kills in 1-4 shots. Takes a small time to reload, manual loading. The sequence is: 5, 5, 2. 3/5
+Colt Bolt-Action 1861 Rifle: Crappy 6-shot rifle. Takes almost a whole clip to kill someone. Short reloading time. 1/5
+Gatling Gun: A Civil War machine-gun, obviously. Deals incredible amount of damage, and has an infinite amount of ammo. 4/5
+Cannon: Takes some time to reload. Fire at long distances. Takes forever to reload. 3.7/5
+Sword: Crap. A long knife. Weak. 3 phrases describe this thing. 0.1/5
+Knife: Kills in 3-5 stabs. Useful for suicide. 0.2/10
+Grenades: Powerful, but has a small blast radius. It's funny to see soldiers fly up into the sky. 3.5/5
That's my list. I may not know the names of some weapons, but they may be accurate. Overall, Civil War is a 7.9/10, a good game with numerous flaws. A great time killer.
