hi

i started to write a football game for about 1.5 years ago. here's a video about it.

you can move with each team
shoot and tackle movements
change player
if you've got the ball, one of the other players will go against you
"wall" around the field

if you want more informations, please ask, and i'll reply

Cool! Sometimes I jog in place while playing football (soccer for us ignorant Americans ) as well! Not many people around here make sports games. This be interesting.

It's a bit odd that only the nearest AI chases you. Besides that, looks fun.

@The crazy: thank you. i've only seen one football (or soccer ) game in dark basic, but it wasn't finished. and yes, nowadays nobody works on sport games, everybody want to shot the others ass with fps games.

@tha_rami: thank you as well. actually, i think, always two player will chase the enemy, cuz one of the AI goes there. you change yourself to this player (he will be in focus), so an other AI can go against the enemy. Er... sorry about my english. did you understand me

btw, if someone don't want to download the vids, i've put them on youtube:

wolfee,

i saw this somewhere some time ago and wondered if it was being worked on. glad to see it is

questions for you:
1) why put up a wall vs allowing the ball to go out of bounds? i'm sure you can come up with a simple throw-in routine

2) any other features? penalties/penalty kicks? i can appreciate simplicity vs a realistic simulator, but wondering what it might have in the way of features. *cough*Instant Replay?*cough*
