Check it out. It's currently using a placeholder texture that I made, but it still is pretty detailed if you can't see it in the vid (see bottom of post).

That's strange, it is bright on my screen, and my brightness is fairly low. Check out the video and see if that works. Some people have had problems with seeing my screens in the past. It's usually normal or solid black.

Thanks. It's an edited stock shader. I will probably be replacing later with a faster custom one.

No it doesn't chees hed, your brightness must be really far down or something. I have to turn my brightness down 50% to not see anything.

Nice ! Then you can use that shader for reflection right ?
It will be very useful at metal surface

Are you going to create a pack or somethings like that ? Cause i really want that shader now

Rise and shine Fpsc x10...rise and shine.

No, it doesn't reflect in real time, but what I used is a cube map shader, which does a fine job of faking it. FPSC can't do real time reflections anyways.

I'll see if I can create a pack, I've already started working on a water shader for X9.

i see it fine, it might be your monitor that is the problem. If you have an nvidia card, go to nvidia control panel, colour settings and adjust the gamma a bit. then reduce brightness.

I also could hardly see the results because of darkness issues but i'm sure from what I have read that the results are cool.

It would be cool for the mirror to reflect the room it's in but would have nothing to reflect as far as the FPSC camera is concerned when you stand in front of it.
Creating a character model which stands just behind the camera may be an answer to give reflections of yourself but might not help frame rates (FPSCX9).

A few thoughts.

strange i was mesing with some scripts on x10 and got some strange
effects. being able to reflect another image in an entity or poster, the one with 2 windows are posters not windows
and makes the room look like it moves.

see file atached.

As Wolf said, it's cube mapping. Just using a blurred cube map for the moment, I'm not going to create a crap looking way of reflecting the player. Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

@ pdidy:

It's cool, yo.

I'm like, unable to comprehend what is happening in your video. What is it reflecting? It looks so strange!

i was just sort of emuulating reflecting a texture in x10
and can be changed to most textures in the texturbank
folder. it is strange when buiding a full room with the
walls celing and floor, it seems to emulate reverse movement
of mouse up is down, down is up, left is right.
if i could find away of geting the texture to change at a given time, i was wandering if it would act as a decal with more
scope and more limit to amount of pictures used in a decal.
perhaps a strange porthole or teleporter.

This is interesting, it sort of reflects, like a wavering greys/blacks effect but it still looks nice.....

are you going to release the shader for this?

Hopefully, but I will be sending it to Nomad Soul first. I have too much on plate to work on this right now though, just wanted to show you guys what I did.
