(WIP) I will be putting a lot of work in to this project, lots of custom stuff and will be doing lots of videos to tell the story as you play though the game, i may build this with X10 if i can get my motherboard upgrade in time but i don't know yet!

At this stage I have only come up with the story and level design but things my change, I will keep this post updated!

Church Confession, Single Player

You play as Sergeant Johnson and you have a team of four loyal marines behind you!

Story;

The game begins on Mars in 2028, in a research facility at a location known as First Port Science Centre (FPSC) where scientists are running for their lives. One by one, they are grabbed and pulled into the darkness by some unseen monster, screaming in terror. Eventually, all but a Dr. Rob Vanner are killed. As the doctor sends an SOS rescue signal, the "thing" breaks through the door, growls at the doctor, and the scene fades out.

A team of marines who have received the SOS from Vanner start to suit up and the team are deployed to a location in Cornwall in a small abandoned village Church; upon arriving at the Church research facility of the Technology Group Corporation (TGC), they meet up with Dr. Lee Brain who explains the situation. Their mission is simple: eliminate the threat, secure the facility, and retrieve TGC property.

To get to (FPSC) on Mars you must go via a teleportation device called the Ark, located in the basement of the church. The Ark was discovered in 2018, and for ten years scientists have been trying to discover who built it, and why.

They set off and quickly locate Dr. Rob Vanner, who is disturbed; they return him to the lab, for Dr. Lee Brain to sedate him. You converses with Dr. Lee Brain and learn that they have discovered inhuman remains on Mars that contain a chromosome that made these creatures superhuman, invulnerable to disease and with the ability to regenerate quickly. Meanwhile, the Marines continue to explore the facility, encountering strange creature’s intent on killing them.

One of the creatures, GDK, succeeds in slaying one of the Marines, but is promptly killed and brought to Dr. Lee Brain. For blood samples, it is determined that their genetic makeup has been altered by the addition of the chromosome; however, the injected chromosome seems to "choose" whether or not the result causes the person to be superhuman or a monster, using what Dr. Lee Brain believes to be the unmapped 25% of the human genome, Consequently, the chromosome is classified as an infection.

Through multiple attacks by the GDK, the squad is reduced to just yourself and Dr. Lee Brain. They realize that despite their best efforts, a larger monster called "The X10" (presumed to be the original infection) has escaped to Earth through the Ark. Before leaving, you take the ChugShot gun, dubbing it the "Big Ass Gun."

On Earth, you find the TGC facility full of bodies.

You emerge at the exit of the facility. Bodies are scattered everywhere, you encounter an unconscious Dr. Lee Brain lying on the floor. You then notice that you have an injury on you arm and inject yourself with the chromosome. You and the X10 face off, having exhausted most of the current magazine limited to a single ChugShot round. After ineffectively using this ammunition, you engage in hand-to-hand combat, which favours you. Transformation begins to manifest during the battle, making you stronger. You prevail by throwing the X10 into the Ark, followed by a grenade. The Ark locks down after this, preventing further travel. You then retrieve Dr. Lee Brain, who is just visibly conscious but unable to stand or walk, he then gives you an antivirus and tells you that he can’t believe what he has uncovered “forgive me”, you reply “you in a good place for confession”

The snapshot is from Church Confession Multiplayer to stop this getting locked but i will be using my Church map as a level!

X, sounds interesting to say the least. I hope it's peppered with humor all the way through. And you know I love the screen shot.

Best.

Are they accusing you of illegaly downloading FPS Creator or it's content ? I like your models, the castle pack looks awsome, I've got to get my hands on that pack in Corky's comp. The game looks good will check back to see progress. BTW I'm not great at spelling either, I wish the post message box had a spell checker. Best of luck with the game,

X Games - Did you see the latest post on your forums by me in the storyline suggestions for this? It was a little late, but I tried. Oh well. I'm looking forward to playing this game when there's a demo out for it. It should be fun.

And great "subtle" references...

Why have you taken the storyline of the Doom... :/
Can't you make up your own? What you've written is practically the exact plotline of the film.

This was the story that I posted on X Games forums:
You are a tourist from out of the country, and end up lost at a church thinking that you can ask for directions from a priest inside. Upon entering, you see that this is a older church that hasn't been used in years. But you hear noises from the sanctuary. You investigate them only to find armed terrorists planning an assassination of your country's leader. You run back out to your car but you find that it, along with your wife and kids in it are gone. Looks like asking for directions is going to take longer than you thought.

That would probably be best. Most people who have played Halo will recognize Johnson's name and rank. Maybe a Captain Smith?
