...it's not uncommon for 3D artists to use a reference background image to work from.
Unfortunately, Goosebox is attempting to
recreate the same darn raptor model, right before our eyes.
Yea, right. Who models like he's demonstrating?
1. Start with skeleton.
2. Begin constructing mesh around bones, perfectly
positioning, centering and scaling mesh to accomodate the skeleton as you go.
If he's using the original model's bones, and animation, I see no reason to believe that he's not just attempting to use the mesh again, too.
That screenshot appears to be nothing more than the tail end of the original, with the mesh unhidden, and flat shaded.
He'll most likely tell us he made it...on account of the visual
proof he's given us.
