How can I make trees for my game? I know it is something to do with deleting the sides of a cube I dont need but I need to know how to do that.

Thanks,

What you could do (and might be easier), is to find yourself a tree model and load it.

Use TreeGenerator. It's free and easy to use if you read the tutorial. But it's hard to export your models; you'll need Blender to convert the dxf files to .x.

Seriously, how do you make the little blue text come up below your message?

you can make really crappy 2d in 3d trees just make a plain, texture it with some tree wich has a black backround and then set the transparency so that the black thing disappears..

@CGJ: There is a tutorial on how to make high-poly tree models, but you could make it low-poly after some modification.
Here's the link:
http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/tree/tree1.asp

It's for 3DS Max, but you can always change it around. I came up with a way to make a low-poly tree using a five sided cylinder and extruding the top faces while turning the faces on the X/Z axis . . .
I'll post pics for you.

If when you say that you need "homemade ones" you mean that you don't want .x tree models but can use images, here's a method which produces reasonable looking trees.

Dyrad makes cool tree models, although it laggs so much and the models are high-poly
