ok here is an honest crit, you need to pay attention to what I am telling you.

The quality of the models is way below par, the textures are sub-par.
Though it is a nice attempt a lot of work is still needed before you post anything for download. I know you had a few comments in your last thread from people trying to make you feel good about your modeling/texturing and commitment to the community. that's all fine and dandy; you need to improve in so many ways before you try to give things away.

stop being so defensive when someone posts something you do not want to read. I think people who pad peoples ego's are doing more harm than good. If your stuff sucks then it sucks and you should not be mad when someone tells you this.

best,
Dave

Bobert, pretty neat, you've done more than I can do...
Although the pile of rocks model could use some improvement.

...personally, I think that you're doing fine.

To stop the heckling in advance: I'm not stroking anyone's ego, sucking up, or giving them unrealistic confidence in their abilities.

Everyone, who's ever been on these boards, has been a noob in some capacity. Bashing a member's work, just isn't friendly, professional, and it's just plain hypocritical.

Considering the fact that you've only been here a short time, bobert, I think that you're doing a good job with attempts...not great at this point, but you will surely improve in time.

You're a good guy in my book...not because I think your artwork or models are great, but because you're an example of something that's sorely needed on these boards...eagerness and postitive effort.

Sometimes you just can't win. If you ask for models, they tell you to make them yourself. If you do.... they suck and don't come back until you're a pro. You either come in here an ace, or stay home I guess.

Then again, maybe I'm just being a little sensitive because I was called a suck-up for commenting on someone else's work, which was a lot better than yours by the way.

I agree that you shouldn't be defensive when someone give you valid comments, but when someone tells you not to post anything until you get better, you can ignore that. You go ahead and post all the models you want. I know of a couple of members who posted sub-par models when they started, and they are doing great now.

Thanks for the contribution. Best of luck with modeling and I hope you stick with it.

Best.

You have to modify them, MODIFY!, making them seamless is hardly modifying them...

In a way, both of you are right. Bobert did modify them, and he isn't selling them, but on the other hand, the textures probably aren't modified too much, which is Higgins point. Point is, the model and texture don't violate any rights, so Bobert can post them here. Not bad on the model by the way...
