Seeing as how the only two packs that seem to match up are 9 and 10 (though I'll admit, the only interest I see in #10 right now are those brass knucks), is it possible to use the textures for Model Packs 5 and 6 on Model Packs 9 and 10 without messing anything up? Also, maybe I missed the readme somewhere, but I can't figure out how to change the hands on the guns on MP5; no matter which fists I start out with, it always changes back to the fingerless gloves.

No the hands in Model Packs 5 and 6 have different UV maps, so they will not work with the other packs.

That answers my interchange question at least. I just didn't want to get two different packs if the general content of the packs seemed the same except for one or two noticeable differences.

If you have photoshop or gimp you can copy and modify the texture from one model pack to fit the UV map of another model pack, but it definitely takes some time and effort.

to get the propper hand texture it's best in the compiled game to replace the gloved hand with the texture you want only named the exact same thing. If the hand is a .jpg then see if there is a .dds with the same exact name and delete it. Sometimes the engine automaticly creates a .dds to use in place of the .jpg. Even if both are present it will always read the .dds first. Deleteing it will force the engine to make a new .dds out of the .jpg that you put in. Hope I wasn't too confuseing.

No, d13, actually, that made a lot of sense. Could explain why a few character retextures I'd tried before didn't work.

also keep in mind, with characters you have to erase the .dds and the .bin. Glad I could help
