I thought you guys might find this interesting. Please don't turn this into yet another debate... just thought this might be neat to know.

So anyway, for those of you who don't read Game Developer Magazine, there's a pretty cool article about ESRB ratings. It shows the percentage of games released per console in each rating category. Here's the percentages, in the order they listed them in GDM:

- XBox 360 -
E = 38.21%
E10+ = 15.99%
T = 28.18%
M = 17.62%

- Wii -
E = 65.60%
E10+ = 16.46%
T = 16.74%
M = 3.19%

- Playstation 3 -
E = 35.80%
E10+ = 11.36%
T = 31.82%
M = 21.02%

Dunno, that sort of shows the target audience for each console... nothing anyone didn't know already, but I found it pretty interesting, figured I'd share. I'm kind of surprised by the low number of "M" titles on the Wii, to be honest... 3.19%? I knew they were targeting younger audiences, but yeesh, that's a lot lower than you'd think when you walk down the aisle in Circuit City.

The Wii owns.... I don't care about your Sega Dream Cast, fanboy... Geez...

DEBATE! DEBATE! DEBATE!

EDIT:

PS - @ Jeku, this is a joke, so don't get all peed-off like always.

Honestly Drew, if you want to push me again, I'll not only ban you for another year but I'll nuke your account too (and all your posts). Don't goad me and push me over the line. I'm serious.

@DrewG: Are you so stupid that you don't realize that by posting that you are doing the very thing that you are stating you don't want to do?

@Matt:
Interesting, never seen in broken down like that . I would expect there to be more M games for 360 and PS3 though, maybe it's just because a lot of the good ones are M (CoD4, Bioshock, AC).
