YEh, It's a love/hate relationship with this thing ain't it......

Ease of use combats bugs, keeping it in a constant balance of, "dammit you stupid machine, did i press that button, DID I?"

lol....

Looking nice, CG!

I like your use of decals. It really adds to the sense of being in a powerplant type area.

Really! Not according to the PC Disc that I currently hold in my hand that clearly says "Deus Ex: INVISIBLE WAR".

Of course, there's also some text near the bottom that also states:

NOT FOR SALE
OUTSIDE NORTH AMERICA

..... bummer.

coffee grunt, I've finished the download, but when I go to open the setup, it says "The application failed to initialize properly (0x80000005). Click on OK to terminate the application." You may need to check the setup program on your end to see if it works there. Sorry man... I was looking forward to reviewing this...

Ok. I'll wait for it. But in a little bit, I will have a match in Emergence to play, so the review might be a little delayed...

The working version is in first post, I've put it through every test I could think of.....

The problem was with the FPSC icon changer I used...So it has FPS Packs standard one now...

Yeh, it looks good, however I STILL think that the HUD is a real eyesore. If there's no weapons then why have an ammo counter :S

Your best option would be something small and slim, however, if you want to go for the bulky look, I'd really suggest making that HUD dark green to blend with your levels.

Cheers.

Sorry for the long silence guys....

@Astek
They came from a pack by Red Devil, called Big Pack....

Got it from the German forums....

@Saber21
Thanks for the great comments...

@Buttmonkey
If you download the demo you'll see the HUD is different, and has no ammo counter...

@Gunn3r
Every comment noted down, I'll consider implement some sort of timer into the level...
Especially the ambience, alot of my other beta testers/mates found it hard to see around the place....

I did get alot of inspiration from Half-Life.....

But it's hard not to....

If it's all the same to you, mate, I would like you to...

So far, I've destroyed the latter part of the level, (after the core-room) and started again, I'm also going to add a 3-4 minute timer, after which will trigger a bunch of hidden bombs all over the level and kill the player....

Itt's alot harder now,( at least in my opinion), I'm just finishing off the basic segment layout and am going to work on lighting + entity placement next...

Really, it's that I need a wide range of different peoples opinions, so far I have yourrs, and my other two testers/friends....

Ok. My notes from a second run through:
-Change purple lights in first room to light2.fpi (Or whatever one flickers
-Set out more entities in the second room
-Raise the lights a little bit so that it properly lights up the lights
-Give the fire a flickering light
-Can't understand the computer voice. Not clear enough
-Make it easier for the player to get up the ramp
-Put hurtzone on the fire
-Take out the coloff or whatever is on it for the exploding computer
-Add some entities in the last 2 rooms (There a little bland)
-Little unobvious to go through the last window.

kk, I'm a bit worried about dynamic lights messing up my lighting, i'll try it though.....

All the rooms after the core, but before the escape have been wiped, i'm totally redoing that last bit.....

I'll take your advice here, I do think that ramp was pretty annoying,lol....

Ok. Those notes on the last one were more of a personal preference as a gamer, so it was looked at from a different perspective than when I played it before.

TC's actually getting along pretty nicely. I have a bunch of ideas for textures, and I have a couple of people helping me with creating them. As soon as I get the textures done, I'll work on making some entities, and then get a level together for beta testing.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to playing the new version of this game. This has a lot of potential, and I can't wait for something more.

Due to the Liquidation of the New Year Level Competition, work on this game has been cancelled....

But don't worry, oh yeh faithful, I'll resurrect this into something bigger, better and not limited to one level...
