Well, technically you can have as many weapons as you put in. It's just that the first weapons you get will be bound to the number keys and after that, you'll need to use the scroll button on your mouse to swap to the others.

That's been an issue with many people, and it hasn't yet been sorted out.

Ah, that's what i wanted to know. Good.

I hope there will be a change that will allow weapon categories to be assigned to keyboard buttons, e.g 1. For Melee, 2. For Handguns etc...

I think in V1 you could have more than 9 but had to scroll to reach them but in V1.07 there is a limit of 9

Ah, good to know that it was changed.

I think it would be good to have a grouping option available for weapons like they had in Half Life. But you know, we don't wanna be copy-cats about everything, do we?

I was thinking that perhaps there could be some way to call up a HUD that dynamically had all your weapon HUDs stored into little numbered slots, but yeah, the size of those huds is just too big for that to work.

i was thinking more like the syphon filter omega strain style, with the back weapon (rifle), aux (carbine/smg), sidearm, melee and grenades.

it doesnt make us copycats if we use grouping by size. makes more for a logical setting. many games use tricks from other games and thus become better. many things are like that in life. for instance, book genres, fashion etc
