Can't, not unless you custom animate them to do so when they're shot....

well...

You could edit the texture to have a blood-splat, bac up the original and make it call it up using ALTEXTURE, using SHOTDAMAGE to detect being hit...

...not at this time, Peter gee.

An alternate texture would most likely be needed to do this properly. Can't use alternate textures with characters currently, in FPSC.

..yes it does, coffee grunt.

I'm sure at some point that'll change. Shouldn't be very hard to fix. It's a hardcoded thing.

Just a suggestion, can't you make something like this to make blood appear on the hud:

:characters script...

then add a line similair to this:

:state=1:plrdistwithin=90,shotdamage=1:hudshow=(hud image of blood on your hud):state=33

:state=33:hudfadeout:state=1

No Sps999

Because the enemy could move and the blood would still be there...

Also, the player would be able to tell it was a HUD....

Well, personally, I think if I had blood in my eyes I would still have blood in my eyes if the source of the blood moved away.

I agree with you there.

Ah, yes, i completely forgot about this little matter, guys. Very good point, Seth.

In the next Lemur V2 meeting, I'll be sure to add this to the list of "little bits of FPSC we would like to get fixed".

[EDIT]

@Peter gee: I just now read your signature. I like it.

Did you know that I started learning how to make video games when I was 6? On my dad's C64, no less. Ahhhh, good ol' days.
