Sorry, don't have a link, but thats why I'm trying to find it. Maybe you could help me out.

I'm designing a website for my HTML course, and I want to base the title page off of this site because I really liked the color scheme and design, but I can't seem to find it again. It's someone's site from these forums, so lets go on a scavenger hunt!

Here's a description: The background color was kind of a steel blue (close to rgb(65,105,225)), the page had a very wide banner in the center of the page, and I think there were thick, red, horizontal rules behind the text or framing the banner. The banner itself I think showed a textured terrain of a desert/beach/some sort of sand... or maybe it was a little bit more green, not sure. There were a few links below the banner (I think, maybe they were above) to other parts of the site.

It's really bothering me!!! I've been searching the forums visiting people's sites and I haven't had any luck.

Can anyone recall who's site this is? It looked very nice...

Why not try and recreate the colour scheme/design to your own style.
If you continually copy ideas you will never get any better at being creative. You have a vague idea what it looks like, now get creating!

The best artists see something they like and improve upon it. Name anyone in history and they all had a reference of some sort.

Thats what I'm going to be doing, not copying the code.

*keeps searching*

I disagree with you there, but hey, its your life. I didn't copy the design of my signature from somewhere else, I just started with a white background and black text and got creative.

[EDIT]Well actually a tell lie my signature design came from a previous idea I had when I was making signatures for people in the DBPro corrupt a wish thread. I decided to select a random person from the forums as design practice, for some reason I remembered Jeku's thread about him visiting Korea? anyway this is the design I came up with:

Jeku if you read this you can have the sig, I was changing mine soon as It's "not me".

Whatever.

But hey, thanks for being of no use to me what so ever. If you weren't going to help me answer my question, why did you post? And I'm curious, what made you decide to post in my thread with some sort of attitude? Have a tough day?

I'm sorry, I try really hard on the geek culture board to be respectful. And I'm not pulling out the guns on you dude, but seriously... if you couldn't answer my question... why debate me about something I don't really care about?

Excuse me but I'm not the one on this forum begging for somebody to "Show meh teh designs"
I was trying to give some advice which might save you a lot of time in the future.

I had no attitude whatsoever. It was quite obvious you had attitude from the start:

If you can't even design the site yourself, you obviously have no idea what the hell you are talking about.
