Me and my brother have decided to work on a new version of our game Operation Entity, we made it for the TGC compo back in 2004 and won Gamespace for it. We havnt worked on it since and have now decided to remake the game, we will be posting screen shots soon.

Are you so desperate to tell people that you are making a game we know and as of now care nothing about that you couldn't just wait and make a decent WIP post with screenshots, videos, information, and/or a demo?

Gotta agree with Gil here. Can't you just wait until you actually háve something to show?

Don't doublepost, and I'm glad to hear you're excited but that really doesn't constitute as WIP. You'll need screenshots and significant progress for that.

umm...that was a little rude Iain wasn't it? I mean you could have edited your post instead of double posted and he is right that this thread could get locked really soon unless you have solid evidence that your game is actually being made.

Keep to your own advice, and don't post unless you've got something interesting to tell. I'm excited about a lot of projects and you don't see me spamming around, do you? Just giving you advise, because I might be quite mild, quite some flamers on the forum are not. The best way to get yourself flamed or locked is by responding like you just did.

Get to work on that game, and post back when you actually have something.

That was rude. And also as a major offender to the members here(Apparently) you can get done for saying "Goddamn" alot. So you better be careful. Or you may be the Noob-slapped or the banned.

Okay. I requested a mod to look at this and lock it if they find that appropriate.

And BTW, I don't give about your joining date. I give about your attitude and whether you keep by the rules. WIP rules: Don't post unless you have screenshots and progress. I see neither. I don't even think that you've even started doing anything yet.

Join date doesn't matter, you act and type like you just joined.

He will most likely be using a lot of code and media from the original game as a starting point. If that is the case, he has a better start than a lot of projects on here.

Thanks BiggAdd!

And a far worse attitude and WIP-thread. This isn't a valid WIP post at all at this moment and should consequently be locked. Point made is: I don't think he has anything, and besides a 2004 FPS I don't see anything to indicate otherwise.

Iain,

Please have a look at the sticked thread titled: "How To Know if Your Games Ready For A W.I.P Post"

It is great that you are excited that you are restarting development of an old project. Imagine what this board would be like if everyone here posted all of the ideas/concepts that they had without having any progress. There are some people here that would probably have to make a new topic every day.

Good luck with your project. Once things get moving on it, feel free to start a new WIP. Just make sure there is at least something to show.

-Ron
