Ok, I just downloaded the PS3 demo for Burnout Paradise to see which version of the game I should get (360 or PS3). I already tried the 360 version and loved it.

The PS3 version was awesome as well! I was skeptical about the online capabilities, but there's a mode where you can just free roam with complete strangers in the city--- it was SOOOO FUNN! I don't normally get excited about online modes, but I've never played anything like it.

The game measures EVERYTHING--- jumps, jump distance, barrel rolls, drifts, and of course crashes. You play bumper cars with everyone, and it tracks who has taken down who, and how many times. I was playing with this one guy and he got two hits on me, and the game tells you to take revenge. I found him on the map and T-Boned his butt into the side of the wall-- it was so gratifying!

Anyways, this is a great demo, and I recommend anyone with a next-gen system to download it. The demo itself supports up to 8 player simultaneous madness. It's so cool because the game doesn't stop--- you just keep driving around and taking people down and doing fancy aerial jumps. Ahh so fun.

What is really cool is when the game comes out next week and people are driving around with other cars (the demo just gives everyone the same beater junk car). I'm also impressed with the PS3 version's online stranger mode where it just plops you into a city with complete strangers who are online and you build rivalries, etc.

I've got the demo on both systems too, although they were basically identical graphically and playability wise.

Prefer the 360 version mind, but that's purely down to the controller. Still feel the SixAxis is far to light with half-assed trigger buttons, it was nice to be able to use the motion for the tricks though. Barrel Rolls were a damn sight easier on the PS3.

That said, me and a couple of mates (can have up to 8 in the same city in the demo i think) have been really going at it on Live.
Love some of the comments over the Radio, and the signs saying "Road Opens January 2008" were pretty sweet touches.

Will probably get it on release, but for the 360.
Wonder if they've allowed it so you can play against players on either system, cause that would be really awesome. Hate how you're limited in most games to just those on Live, or PSN, or PC.

I haven't had a chance to play it much, but really the new multiplayer options make it a must for me - never was a big fan of driving games, but one with the multiplayer modes that Paradise has, plus the more relaxed gameplay that you get with Burnout suits me perfectly.

I think the multiplayer mode in Skate is pretty good too, wish my mates had it too, end up playing with the most irritating people .

less is more, but if less is more how you keeping score?

It is a smart demo, I just spent an hour power parking everywhere. I'm still undecided whether to buy it or not yet though, I've still yet to buy skate and Orange Box.

Hmm I didn't know they added motion controls to the game--- are you sure?

My 360 is getting repaired, so I'm forced to get the PS3 version next week. Anyone else playing that one this weekend?

Test Drive Unlimited allowed you to roam free with strangers... although getting into a race was something I achieved once in a week as connections to other racers are more than a little dodgy.

Rapid texture streaming, Pixel shaders gleamin',
Cooling fans a screaming, And power bills a reaming.

I really think my life would be complete if I had Live.

Well maybe not but wasting time would be a lot easier.

@ Jeku

Dude, I like your avatar, I remember the first time I beat that game. Awesome.

@ Biggadd

Hey, you don't have to, but can you make me a sig like Jeku's but put Drew G, and make it blue? Thanks a million in advance.

@Drew
What game is that?

I liked the demo, except for the horrible camera control. I crashed many a time because the camera would not follow my directions.
