saw the trailer. watched the new world order symbolism, mixed with the impossible physics, and thought "hmm, typical. the kids should love this."

My brother saw it and said the exact opposite. One of his friends threw up during it though.

Great movie, people who don't can't put up with a new kind of suspense will not like it, motion sickness is abundant in the movie, if you get woozy from shaking, DON'T SEE IT :p. Otherwise, one hell of a movie, lot better than the crud they call cinema these days.

Well, I'll go see it when it goes live here - it appears to be a mix between the Blair Witch Project and War of the Worlds, which can only mean: a weak ending. But don't spoil it, I want to see it.

I did get a viral site that purposedly is connected to the movie: http://www.1-18-08.com/. Can anyone confirm if this has anything to do with the movie?

Well...

The director of Cloverfield apparantly has something to do with Slusho Drinks, and their motto "You can't just have Six!" Either he owns this literal company, or it is in another movie which relates to Cloverfield itself.

You can actually buy t-shirts and things from this company too. But anyway, the website deals with clues relating to Slusho drinks, and other things. You just have to look at the pictures very carefully.

Here's a hint. Look at the picture with the man and woman in it with there hair a little "entwined" due to the angle the photo was shot at. Look between their hair, what do you see?

I think the director is trying to relate this monster and/or movie itself with Godzilla, and in a way bringing the monster back for some future movie... My 2 cents.

Why would we email you? And it isn't.

because I heard the movie was to cheesy to pay to watch. but it looked interesting so I was kind of wondering what happened, so I wouldn't waste my hard earned money. and I wanted you to email it to me so you wouldn't spoil it for everyone else. and I even forgot to list my email so now I feel really stupid.

Cheesy, I'd say not, where was it cheesy, I don't recall seeing a zipper on that monster.

Nvm, people don't need to know, go see the movie.

Hah, when I got out of the theater, I still felt like I was looking through a video camera, and expected a monster foot to crush a nearby building.

Had the same effect on me. First thing I said to my friend upon leaving the theater was something along the lines of "I'm glad we live in a completely boring city" But as I was walking back to the car I was looking at the horizon and in my mind I could just picture that monster crawling over the edge of the valley destroying the freeway and smashing cars.

Great movie.

I thought the movie was pretty average. I mean at first it starts off pretty creative, but for me the novelty of "shakey-cam" wore off and it just turned into another one of those movies where young people go alone into a dangerous place and are met with obstacles.

I want to see it, along with I Am Legend, my stepdad and grandpa saw that one without me .

Can anyone tell me what exactly is attacking the city, if better not be a Godzilla type thing.

I thought it was a great movie. I can completely understand why people didn't like the ending, but when you think about it, that's the only way they could've ended it. Of course it was anti-climactic, but that's what makes it great, any other plausible direction would've been token and unoriginal (we're getting to the stage where so many movies have been made, it's hard to do something new). Plus, there are a lot of subtle hints thrown around throughout the movie, I thought it was good.

If you can be bothered to wait it through, there's a very short soundbyte at the end of the credits that suggests a sequel, but it's hard to make out. Although, I'm not sure a sequel would work...

Saw it at midnight of the 17/18 first showing at any normal opening. It was truly amazing. I especially liked the clever use of an event causing them to look back over the footage and accidently playing it too long showing what was recorded earlier pretty much like a flashback. J.J. Abrams is a genius. (as well as everyone else who worked on the movie) I feel sorry for the people who take one look at the trailer and judge it. closed minded....

I really liked the movie. I saw it on the same day I saw I Am Legend, and I thought, "Hm... that bridge was destroyed in I am Legend, but its not in this movie. Man, they must have high-payed construction workers!" both movies were in New York, and both ended really sad.
